Challenge 27/40: Get back on a pony/horse

I’ve wanted to do this for a while but after a particularly scary experience, I had lost my confidence in riding. So I’m very thankful to @sarahhelenhiggins for agreeing to come ride in the mountains with me (and be my moral support!)

We chose @grangeponytrekkingandbnb after seeing @thewelshcowboy visit recently and we couldn’t have been happier. Ethan was a great leader and my pony Warrior was a dream. What a day!

Can’t wait until Spring to experience it all again 🏔️🐴

No secrets... Let me introduce We Are The Lost Boys

Bristol's best rock and pop covers band, most weekends you'll find them playing at pubs, clubs, parties, weddings or festivals

Lucy: the lostest of the lost boys, being a girl and all. In a "complicated" relationship with the concept of time and space everywhere except singing. Welsh songbird and vocal powerhouse. People inexplicably find they a the urge to hold her hand while she's on stage 🤔

Mick: no stage can contain him. You'll find him suddenly in the crowd or on a table while he makes his guitar weep with gratitude... At which point you'll also realise you want to be able to play the guitar like that - the riffs are on fire 🔥

Ben: quirky, history of using duct tape for pretty much everything. Only leaves the stage for utterly ridiculous reasons and if there's no bass line to nail. Don't look him in the eye, it'll cause all sorts of trouble 🥷

Tony: he's got ALL the rhythm - so much that it might look like he's throwing his sticks- but don't worry, he's got plenty. The newest of the lost boys with only 60- ish gigs under his belt - with 500 more from other bands ✨

And, you lucky ducks, they're support for Lucy That Sings, 27th August at Le Pub, Newport

Yes, it's the same Lucy 😉

If you're on the VIP list (you'll have had an invite with your name on it!) for Thursday at Le Pub one of these will be coming home with you. It's been lots of fun to plan the contents, but the actual physical putting together has been done with the skills of the rather wonderful @yazz_evans... and this has gone quite some way to helping me maintain my slim grip on sanity!

Maybe you've somehow escaped knowing but there's a new Lucy That Sings release out on Friday called Champagne By The Pool, and a party gig to celebrate the night before with music from Rhys Hone, We Are The Lost Boys and Lucy That Sings with full band of stonking musicians.

I believe there are still tickets available to get in on the fun, do come and join the party if you haven't already - they're £8 in advance, £10 on the door ❤️

No secrets - let me introduce Hannah Worthing!

Yet another magnificent musician joining me on stage on 27th August at Le Pub, she just KNOWS what the songs need - she's an absolute joy to be around and I cannot say how happy I am to have her on board!

So, take it away Hannah!

"I’m Hannah — a harmony‑obsessed vocalist who grew up in a musical family, lovingly nicknamed the Von Trapps! I found my voice early (after being caught singing The Snowman solo in an empty school hall!) and was lucky to be surrounded by people who encouraged me to use it.

I threw myself into school productions, later becoming a soprano soloist with the Gwent Youth Choir, where those spine‑tingling harmony moments hooked me for life. Since then, I’ve performed in disco/funk bands, worship groups and rock/pop bands, writing harmonies, delivering backing vocals along with lead roles.

In more recent years, alongside my current work with Dark Horizon, I have performed and coached young performers in musical theatre — watching shy singers grow into confident artists is one of my biggest joys! I've also welcomed opportunities to work alongside other artists, by embracing a variety of other ad-hoc projects"

No secrets here... let me introduce Rhys Hone!

A modern country artist from Wales who blends heartfelt storytelling with a contemporary country sound, his music focuses on authenticity, resilience, and finding home wherever your heart is.

Inspired by artists like Morgan Wallen, Tucker Wetmore and Alan Jackson, his debut album "5 years" was released in 2023- a collection of story-driven songs that blended country and folk with a rock-inspired edge.

He's continuing to grow as an artist, writing authentic country music and staying true to the heart of the genre... and is the opening support act for Lucy That Sings on
27th August 2026 in Le Pub, Newport, south Wales.

Go and find your tickets to the show at the Le Pub website now.

One month to go, give or take, before the live show celebrating the release of my next song - Champagne By The Pool 🎉🎉 (I'm Lucy That Sings, if you didn't already know!)

It's a party though, let's be honest... Please share the love and let everyone you know what's occurring!

So far it's been a lot of fun, a lot of work, a lot of time, a lot of learning... It's been a lot! I'll be introducing the people to whom I owe a massive debt of gratitude over the next couple of weeks... And there are lots of them! I'm counting my blessings every day that I'm this lucky to have such talented, creative and generous people working with me- keep an eye out to see who they are and who you'll be partying with ❤️❤️❤️

Some seasons of life pass so quietly that we don't realise they're becoming the memories we'll treasure forever.

These aren't just photographs, they're little pieces of our story. A story filled with love that feels like home, laughter that echoes long after the moment has passed, muddy paws, warm embraces, and countless reasons to be grateful.

Rhys, thank you for giving me a life that is richer than I ever dreamed possible. Thank you for being my safe place, my greatest adventure, and the man I still fall in love with every single day. And to our precious Ichiro, thank you for filling our home with joy, loyalty, and the kind of love only a dog can give.

If I could stop time, I think I'd choose moments just like these. But since I can't, I'll treasure every smile, every cuddle, every wagging tail, and every second we're lucky enough to share together.

One day these photographs will tell the story of a life beautifully lived and deeply loved. Until then, we'll keep making memories, one ordinary, extraordinary moment at a time.

My heart. My home. My forever and always. ❤️🤍🐾

Five years ago, I married the man who completely changed my world. ❤️

Somehow, through every ordinary day and every unforgettable moment, I fall even more in love with you. You are my safest place, my greatest adventure, my biggest supporter, and without question, the love of my life.

So we celebrated five wonderful years married, and sitting across the table from you, I realised that no beautiful place, delicious meal, or special occasion could ever compare to simply sharing life with you. You are, and always will be, my favourite part of every day.

Thank you for loving me through every season, for making me laugh when I need it most, for believing in me, and for making our life together more beautiful than I ever dreamed it could be.

Here's to everything we've shared, everything we're building, and all the adventures still waiting for us. I cannot wait to grow old with you, to keep making memories, and to spend the rest of my life loving you just as deeply, if not more, with every passing year.

Happy 5th Wedding Anniversary to the man of my dreams. I would choose you in every lifetime. Forever and lways. ❤️🥂

Forever yours. 🤍
