Yesterday we went on an @urbanhikeskc tour of the West Bottoms in KC. I highly recommend one of these these urban hikes. I learned so much about our history and saw things I didn’t know existed in the West Bottoms despite how well I thought I knew it. Plus, it was great exercise and fun!

Alright, this one is less about my drag progression, more about my sewing journey.

Our kickball theme this week was “Giving (Bed) Head”, and I wanted to live my Ebenezer Scrooge nightgown honk-shoo honk-shoo fantasy. The color story I was going for was if instead of being taunted by a raven, Edgar Allen Poe had written about a peacock that wouldn’t shut up.

Proud to have done this whole outfit by myself! Much more finished than last week, hemmed and everything. And I’ve got a big ass head, so having a hat that finally fit me for once in my life was nice.

spent the afternoon walking through the west bottoms antique shops! somehow didn’t leave with anything - not even what i was searching for! looking for a new chair and small blanket ladder if anyone sees any good ones 😉
.
side note: does anyone else get headaches when shopping in antique shops? i always leave with a headache and feeling so sleepy - even pre-pregnancy - thinking maybe it’s due to dust? idk 🤷🏼‍♀️
