For nearly 39 years, Tadashi Suzuki passionately climbed toward other people’s hopes, dreams, and manifestations.

Those years gave him something unexpected: the clarity to not only see himself, but to fully believe in himself.

At a certain point, Tadashi turned that same passionate energy inward—redirecting it toward his own hopes, dreams, and creative aspirations. Since then, he describes himself as having never felt healthier or happier.

It was through this newfound happiness that Tadashi discovered literary art—a place where words evoke feelings, and feelings create movement.

In YOU, Tadashi explores the liberating possibilities of language, transforming personal thoughts, observations, and intentions into visual works of art.

The newly discovered words of intent and creation were manually typewritten on a 1968 Royal typewriter, handmade in Japan. Each piece becomes a fragment of time—a tangible record of Tadashi’s inner reflections as he transitions from a life of climbing corporate building blocks toward a more open, freeform literary-artistic ascension.

These works are not simply words on a page.

They are moments of transition.
Thoughts made visible.
Feelings given form.
A record of one person finding his way back to himself.

YOU is an intimate exploration of identity, transformation, language, and the freedom that comes from finally pursuing your own dreams.

Eddie Cruz and I have been friends since 2020 when we met during the pandemic at a poker game. Shortly after that, Casinola and Stüssy helped me produce the first annual World Series of Art Poker (WSOAP).Still going strong after almost 5 years, WSOAP has been a collaborative production between my studio (WKS), Casinola, and Stüssy, which not only sponsors the event but also designs a commemorative t-shirt each year as well.This collection is just a continuation of our amazing collaborative production.I draw a lot during my therapy sessions. I do the sessions over the phone, so my hands are free to draw or paint. At one point during my sessions I started rolling dice on the table and drawing them. I’ve made a bunch of drawings and even some paintings from these dice still lifes.So when Eddie reached out about doing a possible collection, I was like, “Well I’ve been making all these dice drawings…”. I thought we could take the drawings and make an all-over print for a shirt. Eddie suggested making it a full set with the pants and bucket hat, and that was that.Everything I make in terms of clothing has always just been an extension of my practice— putting things together and reconfiguring them. This collection feels like the perfect representation of our mutual love of poker and gambling, the thing that brought us together, and cool, well-made clothes. I couldn’t be more excited for people to see what we’ve made.
