Looking for a Black Santa in Atlanta? Save this!

🎅🏾 The Works: @theworksatl will have a Black Santa event again this year and last year it was free! Follow @theworks for details on the event which will be released in early November. This event is crowded and you only will get one or two shots with Santa so be prepared.

🎅🏾 The Real Black Santa: This Santa hosts pop-ups around the Atlanta area during the holidays and he is one of my favorites. Make sure to follow @therealblacksanta for details on where he’ll be this year.

🎅🏾 The Gallery at South Dekalb: A Black Santa will be on site @thegalleryatsouthdekalb November 20 - December 24. You can register online but we walked in and had no line, no wait.

🎅🏾 Greenbriar Mall: A Black Santa will be on site @greenbriarmall November 20 - December 24. You can pre-register for a time slot however, December 22-24 will be walk-ins only.

What if restaurants are the new department stores?

That was one of the takeaways from @bisnow's Atlanta Mixed-Use Summit, where industry leaders discussed how food and beverage tenants are increasingly becoming the traffic drivers for mixed-use developments across Metro Atlanta. Rather than waiting for traditional retailers to anchor a project, developers are turning to restaurants to create culture, community and intrigue.

It’s an interesting shift in how mixed-use destinations are evolving. Restaurants infuse a sense of place, lure patrons through a development and create the traffic that lure other tenants. And as Atlanta continues to grow, the projects that bring together dining, entertainment, fitness, residential and office are creating some of the region’s most exciting and sought-after destinations.

There’s something special about a partnership that keeps showing up, year after year. BouncePath has worked with @SeligEnterprises for 3 years to bring its @ICSC booths to life, and we’re back at it again for ICSC Southeast this week.

With roots in Atlanta dating back to 1918, Selig’s portfolio spans retail, industrial and office properties across the Southeast. Today, Selig develops, leases and manages more than 250 properties throughout Metro Atlanta, including @TheWorksatl and The Block. Want to join the buzz at these and other properties around the Southeast? Visit the Selig team at Booth #405 on Oct 20.

I’m here for the boos @chattahoocheefoodworks Spookeasy! 💀 🍹 Just in time for spooky season, Chattahoochee Food Works has transformed a part of their patio into a sinister cocktail playground and John and I got to experience it! Going on through October, Thursday to Sunday, the Spookeasy is scaring up some spooky themed cocktail and bites! Are you tempted?

Here is what we tried:

🎃 Pumpkin king a boozy bourbon old fashioned with sweet pumpkin and orange. Orange is expressed with a fire over the drink.
🧙 Basic Witch is a frozen boozy rum painkiller with cute broom garnish then flamed pumpkin spice.
👁️ Goblin punch is a take on a margarita with tequila, blue curaçao, and black salt rim with an eye ball floater.
🍗 Goblin wings are lemon pepper with herbed butter wings that are juicy and crunchy!
🥔 Crazy potatoes are crunchy and well seasoned wedges with a spicy patatas bravas sauce drizzle
