‘Donate for Prosperity’ reflects a personal and complex fertility journey. Inspired by prosperity altars found in different cultural contexts—the work moves beyond purely scientific frameworks, opening up space for ritual and alternative ways of understanding.

The collage explores the fragile promise of both science and ritual, where investments—financial or symbolic—suggest control without guaranteeing a positive outcome.

Together with Debrock’s ‘The Waiting Table’—also composed of flowers, fertility symbols and personal objects—‘Donate for Prosperity’ offers a way of living with uncertainty and finding meaning when life is beyond control.

Both altars create an intimate and hopeful setting for a journey that can otherwise clinical, unsettling and difficult to navigate.

Final week to visit The Wunderwall Enlarged.

Over the past weeks, The Wunderwall Enlarged has slowly transformed. As artworks found new homes with collectors, empty spaces began to appear across the walls. What may seem like absence becomes part of the exhibition itself, a reminder that art continues to live beyond the gallery, entering new contexts and new conversations.

What began as a floor-to-ceiling constellation of voices now carries visible traces of exchange, discovery and connection. The changing walls reflect the very idea at the heart of The Wunderwall: supporting artists, creating encounters and allowing works to continue their journey.

Visit the exhibition during its final week and experience this evolving presentation in its current form.

On view until June 21, 2026.

A glimpse into The Wunderwall Enlarged.

What began as an intuitive collection of small works by emerging artists has grown into a dynamic and evolving platform within the gallery. In this expanded version, the Wunderwall unfolds as an immersive, floor-to-ceiling installation, a space where multiple voices meet, overlap and resonate.

Each work carries its own perspective, yet together they form a larger constellation shaped by dialogue, trust and long-term engagement. The presentation reflects a belief in the importance of young artists: as those who question, experiment and open up new ways of seeing the world around us.

Rather than a fixed structure, The Wunderwall Enlarged remains in motion, a living environment where discovery continues to unfold over time.
On view at the gallery.

Until June 21, 2026

Daniëlle Hoogendoorn on flowers, colour and preserving fleeting moments.

For The Wunderwall Enlarged, Hoogendoorn presents ceramic vases with flowers inspired by those growing in her own garden. Rooted in ideas of transience and permanence, the works transform fragile, short-lived flowers into objects that continue to exist over time.

“Everybody has a different interpretation of flowers,” she reflects, moving between gratitude, sadness, beauty and memory.

Now on view as part of The Wunderwall Enlarged at Gallery Sofie Van de Velde through 21 June 2026.
