Mom, I don’t know what else to do right now besides falling back on art and creating things to try to bring some beauty and light to an otherwise dark time. I know that you wouldn’t want us to be sad but I can’t help it at the moment. I didn’t realize after your 40th birthday we’d only have 7 more. Time felt so slow but it truly went so fast. We are going to get together to discuss your wishes and try to honor what you would want. We love you so much. I love you so much. Please enjoy your rest.

Grief is a crazy thing that sneaks up on you when you least expect it. Two years have gone by since the train whistle blew and you took your last breath. It’s easier to remember you like this. #traintoheaven #deaddadsclub
