“If it's conveying the idea, the message of divine black femininity, I'm there.”- @donyalebonilla

Flowers is a conversation-based photo+video interview series, shot on location at BTFA Studios (@btfacollective) by and for members of the trans legacy and experience. Like every initiative led by NBJC, Flowers partners a call for justice with the humanity and authenticity needed in order to create documentation, a resource, and a collection of interviews and stories from Black Trans Femmes in the New York Area.

O Prêmio é hoje a noite! Vamos ver? Muitas brasileiras disputando prêmios por lá! @pabllovittar, @anitta, @ludmilla, @luisasonza e @manugavassi, por exemplo 💕🎶

Obrigada @alloutbr pela indicação! 🏳️‍🌈💕

“Until next”, Chi (@liltunechidi) for @theteammag

shooting this a year ago was pure fun. I chose this spot a week after visiting it with my boyfriend, a memory I hold close to my heart. I chose this spot because it felt romantic and like we weren’t in the crowded city anymore. I guess, without knowing, I wanted this shoot to tell a romantic, dreamy and gentle story, which is funny because I’m working on a short film now about similar feelings of closeness, intimacy, and gentle friendship. This is definitely going on the moodboard for that.

edits by @thhrift for the closing of @theteammag’s second issue, PRAXIS.
