A month has been spent in the Indian Himalayas, more specifically Rakchham.

This is a unique bouldering destination that's been under development for almost two decades by seemingly a very small group of dedicated people.

This year was special, in that Bernd Zangerl released the guidebook and therefore officially decided to open the area - under careful consideration and preparation to make sure the local people, as well as nature, will benefit in the most sustainable way possible for years to come.

We were a group of six, with two Rakchham 'veterans' among us. @andersbukker organized almost everything for us, most notably an epic 25 hour taxi ride from Delhi airport to Rakchham. An experience I treasure, and would repeat.. But can hardly recommend.

Rakchham is incredibly unique in the stability of weather and very good conditions apparently being guaranteed. During our month we had two nights of precipitation, one as rain, the other as snow. It left us with maybe one day of medium conditions.. The rest of the time was crisp, cold air with sun from a clear sky warming us up. Some climbs consequently got too warm in the sun - but they'd cool down after 30-60 minutes of shade, back to perfect conditions.

The climbs in videos are as follows:

- No Voy a Cambiar (7b+/7c, most likely 7b+ with my morphed undercling beta)
- Power Shake Reborn (7b)
- Aromasmith (7b+)
- Manifestation From Self (8a)

Manifestation From Self became a project of mine during the end of the trip, after being bedridden for a week's time. Four and half sessions went into it, with full beta spray from @karlkeigo , as well as @dane_nomad joining and sending it after about two sessions I believe.
Eagerness and time constraints pushed me to skip some much needed rest, as such the video was from the very last day, trying my hardest in the sun(not ideal with a sloper crux). A super fun process that didn't end with a send, despite being able to do the boulder in two overlapping parts. As I left the boulder I found myself more eager to do harder climbs than when I arrived a month before..

Huge thanks to everyone that shared the time in Rakchham.

Until next time!

Sometimes you have to disappear from others because you need yourself more.
It’s been eight months brake from here.

At the moment I’m in Alaska. Two days away from starting the big dream of mine, NOLS mountaineering instructor course.

There has been so much more real things outside of this platform. Preparing and training for this course has been one of them. Healing and seeing myself has been another.

France, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Sweden, Norway and now U.S.A. Travelled in so many places…within myself.
Pain, tears, laughter, growth, hope, thousands hours of ACL and LCL rehab mentally and physically, loneliness, connections, experiences, pooping in the forest and living in Hillevi 🚐, climbing, skiing, snowboarding and dancing, a lot of dancing and we’re talking about ”crazy don’t kind of touch me because my happy salmon who is riding a horse moves are too spicy for you in a empty dance floor” kind of dancing, shattering, growing back together and more, and a lot of good hugs. Those kind of ones that are hugging also your soul.

Not sure how do I feel about the idea of coming back but I’ve time to think about it in the mountains. I’m leaving my phone behind, focusing on my training and getting back to it in June, maybe getting back in here as well, maybe.

But surely getting back for all those ones that travelled with me to those places within myself. Thank you, I’m beyond proud, honoured and grateful that I can call you my friends and you let me be one for you❤️
