A bit of whimsy with a message: there is SO much plastic and technology chucked out on the street and if it’s not collected promptly it breaks down into tiny pieces into the environment. These other-worldly aliens were created using parts from a discarded battery operated plastic toy, found in the street. I dismantle found toys to remove the batteries for safe disposal and salvage before they start to corrode and leach harmful chemicals into the soil and waterways. I separate plastic, rubber and metal but I haven’t got the space to store much of this waste but at least it goes into the correct waste stream and depending upon the type of plastic it may get recycled. #thingswithfaces @things.faces #reducereuserecycle #keepingourstreetsclean #stillemergingmiddleagedfemaleartist #eoranation

Even the structure is smiling.
Accidental anthropomorphism in an old beam — proof that architecture has a sense of humor too.

Details like this are why we look twice.

Imagine a warm cup of tea in a cold-cold night or a... looong warm hug from your loved one where you both don't want to let go...❤️

That is how the "home" away from the home felt, outside which this "talent" was discovered 😉

Thank you so much @mkalvakalva , @umakalvakalva akka, @pavanee_kathak , amma & everyone for inviting us and carefully curating such an heartfelt & homelike experience for us 🤗

Grateful to have met and share these few beautiful days together 🙏🏻❤️

Appreciate the extended efforts and comprehensive care from the whole family to accomodate us(kids 😄) into a "home" !

There is a well-known quote from Pier Paolo Pasolini: "There are no more fireflies." This phrase stands as a poignant metaphor for the cultural, environmental, and social transformations he witnessed in his country — a reflection on the fading of natural beauty and the erosion of cherished traditions. Around midsummer during my childhood, fireflies would dance in the dusk; still, this year, I find myself waiting for the first flicker of their light in the meadows.

Dame un beso de verano y acariciame ruborizada,
Llename de colores y saturame el alma

el brillo de tu sonrisa nubla la voz
del cuerpo crezcan hojas
que se estienden hacia vos
