POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

She came to England as a single mother, worked as a cleaner, and did night shifts in care. Today, @Naomi runs six supported living homes in Birmingham, with a team of twenty.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Agbor Naomi Enowkpa, founder of Otang Care, for my Think Big & Go Global podcast, and there’s one part of her story I really want you to hear.

When the landlord of one of her care homes decided to sell, she faced the possibility of the people living there losing their home. Buyers kept walking away because the residents were vulnerable adults with complex needs.

So Naomi bought the house herself.

Listening to her, I kept thinking about the responsibility behind that decision. These were people who needed somewhere safe, familiar, somewhere they belonged. She was determined to protect that.

From starting again in a new country to becoming a nurse and building her own care business, Naomi has so much to share about finding your purpose and having the courage to follow it.

If someone had told the younger me, who arrived in the UK in 2004, that this would one day be part of my story, I probably wouldn’t have believed them.

For 13 years, I ran a cleaning business while continuing my passion for hairdressing. I was working hard, helping my family and building a life, but deep inside I knew I wanted to grow.

Three decisions helped change my life.

1. Accept that you need to change for your life to change.
I returned to education, invested in my skills and found the courage to follow the career I truly loved.

2. Change the people around you.
Joining @globalwoman_club introduced me to inspiring women who encouraged me to think bigger. From the day I met @mirela.sula_globalwoman whose belief in me opened doors I never imagined.

3. Change how you show up.

From speaking in Mayfair to supporting Mirela as her hair and makeup assistant during podcast recordings @thinkbig_goglobal studio days and the @globalwomansummitlondon Global Woman Summit, I discovered that my skills could take me far beyond my salon chair.

Today, I have the privilege of helping international speakers, entrepreneurs and presenters feel confident before stepping in front of the camera or onto the stage.

My salon chair was never my limit. It was my foundation.

Thank you, Mirela, for your trust, encouragement and for opening the door to a new chapter in my journey. ❤️

And to every woman with a message to share:

You focus on your voice, your story and your impact. I’ll help you show up looking and feeling your best.

I’m still learning, still growing and still dreaming.

What is one decision that changed your life?
