We are making a film!! 🦋

Sincere thank you to anyone who was able to attend our fundraiser for our upcoming film, The River is Backwards Anyways. Truly the loveliest evening of community coming together in support of art. Special shoutout to @thinkmiamedia for ideating & bringing this fundraiser to life with me, all the friends who helped out, and the filmmakers that let us screen their stunning films ~ @melkiyomi @emmajosephson @hoochagucha @cambriamatlow

Grateful to @notjamison for capturing the event on her camcorder + film (photos to come!)

If you have the means and would like to support our journey, the link is in my bio & if not, that’s cool too! We’ve passed the halfway mark toward our goal of $5K if you wanna keep us chugging along! 🚂🚂

Come see a curated collection of local experimental films & support the production of our surreal poetry film, The River is Backwards Anyways. 💫

This upcoming short follows Jade as she slips through a bar bathroom wall into her subconscious, navigating fragmented memories of love and harm and ultimately reclaiming ownership of her story.

Guided by a series of poems by @lagnajita14 and ambient tape loops by @doomfolkstarterkit, the film moves as a sensory experience where sonic texture and language shape Jade’s inner world into evolving cycles.

Feeling so grateful to have this team of pals / artists I respect on this project!!

Here are some bts shots (stunning film photography by Reed!) of our experimental short, Perennial Youth. This film came together in response to Earth Day and with the intention of funneling friends’ creative talents into one project. The whole process was really just so much fun. More to come :-)
