POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

So here are my 5 tracks from the big bad Planet V catalog old and future classics that have been doing the rounds for me this week, to pick just 5 is criminally hard.

Check these numbers out and let me know there’s any tracks you think I should listen to 🕺

Shouts to @pearlydnb for the idea 🫡

JUNGLE + DNB RAVE AUTUMN EDITION - SATURDAY 24TH OCTOBER

After the last one completely sold out, we’re back with our first autumn instalment of the Jungle and DnB Rave, this time keeping things fully Manchester.

Taking over the booth are @pablogyal_, @imadre_dj, @simmo.etc and @thinktonkmusic - all regular faces behind the booth at Hidden, each bringing their own take on jungle, drum & bass and the wider UK bass spectrum.

A lineup built from some of the city’s strongest selectors, returning for five hours inside the warehouse.

Limited £3 earlybird tickets are live now on Skiddle & RA.

1. LTJ Bukem - Horizons (Philip D Kick Footwork Jungle Edit)
LTJ Bukem is one of the foundational producers who got me into drum and bass. Philip D Kick reimagined one of my favorite tracks in footwork style, and I absolutely melted when I first heard it. Especially when the classic Horizons break kicks in.

2. Viewer, Painted Skies - Tonight
Viewer is a producer from Leon, Mexico, who is making outstanding drum and bass. I wanted to feature his beautiful liquid roller for anyone who doesn’t know him. Check him out!

3. Counter Culture - The Time
This techy roller really speaks to my raver heart. Euphoric pads, crispy breaks, and ethereal vocals. It’s everything you want in a warehouse jungle track.

4. Rufige Kru, Goldie, Submotive - Backgammon Blues
Metalheadz does no wrong. I’ve collected so much of their catalog over the years, and the label has strongly influenced the music I play. The metal percussion in this track really stands out as something different you don’t often hear. To me, it’s a testament to drum and bass’s plasticity.

5. Universal Project - Bleach (Jubei Remix)
The original is one of the tracks I used to cane back in the day. Jubei gives the original sound a respectful nod and turns it up to 11.

6. Teej - Bounty Killah
The bassline on this track is just devastating in all the best ways. What a bomb!

7. LO! - Zone1
LO! takes the classic jungle sound and updates it with modern production fidelity. The reverse bass lead melts my rude bwoy heart.

8. Breakage - Wonder
Breakage is such a master with everything he touches. Obviously, the breaks in the track are phenomenal, but that reggae breakdown with the wah guitars transports me right into a scene from ‘The Harder They Come.’ G’wan Breakage!

9. Think Tonk - Piano Problems
Piano stabs and the ‘Show Me Love’ lead. Sign me up!

10. Hoax - Care 4 U
Hoax just blipped on my radar recen

Carved into Cheetham Hill’s industrial edge, Hidden is Manchester’s raw, sub‑heavy hub for bass. A former textile mill reworked into a multi‑room warehouse, it prioritises heavyweight sound, provided by Void Acoustics, over polish. From Hit & Run’s landmark takeovers to upcoming nights with Tim Reaper and Lens, the mill keeps hosting the events that shape the city’s underground.

Upcoming at Hidden:

Tim Reaper (4‑hour set) + Syntax - Saturday 17th October

Lens: Moving Mad UK Tour - Saturday 14th November

Hit & Run x Critical Sound x GASH MCR: Halloween Special - Friday, 30th October

What’s your favourite memory from Hidden?

Woosh.

Didn't take many of my own pics but im happy for some of yalls flickerings.
I do have video clips galore at which I'll try and stitch something together.

In the meantime I got a few smiles and laughter in this bunch. New and old friends n such, but what I don't have is the unmatched energy that one can only experience in attendance.

As always massive love sent to Delicat, Martina, Sechi, Simone, Pier, Mike, Angie, Ree and the whole Sun and Bass team. Not enough credit is ever given to all the glue and sticks needed.

And a huge big up to all music lovers in attendance. Every venue y'all showed up and rocked heavy.

Love to everybody I rolled out with. Submorphics, V Recordings, Napes (Wow)

Let me not forget Bal harbour with Myself, Winz and special guest Cleveland..OMG!

Just another epic week in San Teodoro.

For Showtime, For Lenzman, For Frank.🕊️🕊️🕊️

Cheers y'all.
