More than just a dance battle, thirdspace Vol. 1 is about bringing women together through their shared love for hip hop, music, and dance.

Built on the idea of creating a safe and supportive space for female dancers, thirdspace is a movement created by women, for women. A place where dancers can express themselves freely, embrace their individuality, and feel empowered by the community around them.

Held on October 10, 2026, at Skatelovers Space, the first edition brought female dancers together for an all-female hip hop battle, from preliminary showcases to intense 1v1 rounds, alongside special performances and moments of connection beyond the battle floor.

Every round brought its own energy, personality, and story. But beyond the competition, it was about something bigger: women showing up, supporting one another, and taking up space through dance.

Because sometimes, it’s not just about winning the battle. It’s about finding a space where you truly belong.

Here’s a look back at thirdspace Vol. 1, through the lens of COUNT OF 8 🎥

Thanks for the event @foundancetion !! Also judges!!

Also clips from top 16 Third Space battle so glad got to exchange with this singaporean girl after a long timeeee we havent catch up; ZAAAFF see u in singapore @zzaaaff_

After 1,5 years not battling, God never gave up on me.
My heart posture changed as im starting to get to know my true self in Christ, just dancing out of a heart that is filled and overflows with love, peace and joy.

Winning, losing, competitions and validation from others are all temporary, they are fleeting. But whats eternal is what remains inside of us, our true identity.
And Jesus gave me that🫶🏻 so all credit goes to Him
