POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Yesterday we explored the themes of Scorpio season through the lens of the Moon and Death cards, using inquiry based practices like automatic writing, painting and tarot spreads. I had so much fun! Thank you @thirdeyeowlstudio for inviting me to be your co-facilitator and to @createmagicartshop for hosting. Feeling inspired to bring something like this to little Rhody ⚓️

💀🦂♏✨🍄🍄‍🟫👁️🖤👁️🍄‍🟫🍄✨♏️🦂🖤🌝

This month’s study group theme will be welcoming shadowy Scorpio season with an emphasis on The Moon and Death cards: two of the most mystifying (and misunderstood) cards in the deck, and also the cards most closely associated with this time of the astrological year. The class will feature very special guest facilitator Caitlin Rae Moon, of Infinite Portals Studio.

Bring a deck (if you have one) and a journal (limited loaner decks will be available.)

One of the many perks of teaching #creativewriting is getting to meet and work with so many talented writers. I am delighted to bring together and spotlight some of the star writers with whom I've had the honor of #writing during the spring and summer seasons.

Get Lit with Delaware Writers will be a fun opportunity to grab a beer and listen to local writers read excerpts from their work. The featured writers at this event are: Micah Altman, Harriet Ayoade, Alyssa Hull, Michael of the Lē, Molly Rue Leitner, and Emily Pellini.

Get to know our #writingcommunity at this engaging event at the scenic @dewpointbrewing on September 10 at 6:00 pm.

This one-time event was inspired by the awesome @phillywriterscircle, a monthly literary series in Philadelphia.

Quick trip with @thirdeyeowlstudio (who was able to quickly figure out Mom logistics to go on a rather last minute impromptu moms trip) to NYC for the @mamasexbook launch where I got to connect with @curatorofsex in real life.

- Storytelling -
Stories have always been a huge part of community, culture, and connectivity. The telling and retelling gives us insight into what we value, what we fear, what we hope for the future of our communities.

Molly Rue Leitner of @thirdeyeowlstudio created a beautiful multimedia Art Book for the POETIC JUSTICE Collection, a retelling of the European Folk Tale, "Stone Soup." Molly's interpretation centers the power, and the magic, of mutual aid. She deliberately left the figures expressionless and only created them from simple sketch lines so that the viewer can easily insert themselves into the world of the story. There will come a time when every one of us will find ourselves hungry, in need of help, in the cold, in the dark. Through this story, Molly invites us to reflect on how we can call upon the power of community now so that it will come to our aid when we need it the most.
