Community is a verb, it is action that we must practice daily. Angie Nixon @angieforfl at @lasrosasmiami reminding me why she is the FIRST candidate I have ever been excited to Vote for in Florida. Vote AND show up to hear her speak. Vote AND volunteer for her campaign. Voting isn't enough. It's Vote AND. 💗📢💙🗳 Las Rosas, Miami, FL October 22, 2026

Hi 🖐️ Tara here. In case you want to support @thirsty for my birthday 🥂 Indie media covering the bar does as well as the bar industry overall ... and as hospitality has been struggling, Thirsty is struggling too as advertising and advocacy budgets have been cut. If you've ever found this page, thirsty platforms or my work helpful - I hope for your support as I work to keep @thirsty up, running, independent, and (hopefully) get some wiggle room to grow, build, and continue serving our community with information, resources, and real connections. • $5 - Support Tip • $10 - Coffee Fuel • $25 - Fancy Cocktail Link to thirsty's 'Buy Me a Coffee' page is in the bio. Thank you to everyone who has backed this tiny desk over the years 🙏

New to the West Village: @baretienne. Elevated cocktails, French-inspired food, great vibes, and a very cute space. Loved the Martini Tomate (which you can also order as a smaller Teeny ’Tini), Negroni Chocolat, Banana Question, and Hugo Jukebox. Food highlights included the French onion grilled cheese, salmon tartare, lumache with pesto, and steak frites au poivre. Already plotting a return to eat and drink my way through more of the menu. 👀💃🏽 Huge congrats @ketlerkeith @michael_beaumont_bray & team! 💯🍸👏 #baretienne #nyc #westvillage #cocktails #newyorkcity

Who should we trust with telling our Industry's Stories? Hospitality is built on human connection and genuine care. So shouldn’t our industry's media tell stories from that same foundation? Thirsty has always been fully independent, but it it's ownership has changed with the future now soles in one person who has been in the industry for over two decades. Thirsty sits within the community it serves and Thirsty cares about the People over Profit. When corporate boardrooms buy up media publications, maximizing profit margins and ad revenue takes priority over reporting and journalistic integrity. Newsrooms get gutted, mass layoffs ensue and suddenly, one reporter is covering luxury cars, tech, fashion, agave spirits and Top 10 Lists. As trust in mass media drops, we are hoping yhe future belongs to independent, community-first journalism. Thirsty was built to keep our industry's stories in the hands of the people who actually live them. Support independent media across the board ... but especially those serving industries that need support behind press releases likr Hospitality, Bars, Restaurants & Alcoholic Beverage. Note: All cited research data reflects U.S. demograpgics studies. Sources & Research Receipts: Slide 2 Data: • Mass Media Trust & 12-Point Drop: Gallup Mass Media Trust Survey (28% historical low, down from 40%). Slide 3 Data: • Community Connection (69%): Pew Research Center, Local News Study. • Creator Value & Understanding (65%): Pew Research Center, News Influencers Study. • Online-Only News Migration (42%): Pew Research Center, State of Local News Data. • Local Creator Reliance (36%): Pew Research Center, Local News Study. Slide 4 Data: • Digital Ad Spend Breakdown (84.1% / 8.3% / 7.5%): Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) / PwC Internet Advertising Revenue Report.
