🚨⭐️📣 Residency highlight of the week!
UCDFM residents participated in performing health physicals for students with neurological and developmental disorders at Jessie Barker Elementary School in Elk Grove. Participating in hippotherapy is a form of therapeutic horse riding which allows students with disorders such as cerebral palsy, autism, head injury, multiple sclerosis, and other spinal cord injuries regain postural strength, sensory processes and improve their proprioceptive awareness. Each year, residents come to perform physical for about 70-90 students which allows them the rare but life changing opportunity to participate in these activities.

This week for didactics, UCDFM residents spent their afternoon volunteering at Valley High School performing sports physicals for their student athletes. It’s been described as a unique opportunity to engage with our community and reach a group of students who otherwise don’t have access to a regular pediatrician. Hello fellow adventurers and friends,

From July 3rd to July 14th, we set out on a quest to complete the first season of “The Dice Decide”. It was an incredibly challenging journey filled with sacrifices and unexpected obstacles but we’re thrilled to say, we did it!!!

We successfully filmed 13 more episodes completing the season for a total of 17 episodes! On top of that, we captured 14 bonus episodes where we talked and shared our thoughts about the episode. And collaborated with the amazing TTRPG group @storyquestshow on a separate four part one shot.

The adventure isn’t over yet, not even close. We now face the long road of editing and post production. The future is uncertain, and while we can't give an exact release date just yet, please know we’re working hard with the limited resources we have to bring this story to life.

There will be roadblocks and unknown challenges. But with your continued support and belief in what we’re building, we’ll get there.
