Luxury safari dining was on a completely different level than we expected.

From El Karama to Kicheche Mara, every breakfast, lunch, and dinner was freshly prepared using local ingredients. And by local, we mean really local—much of the produce was grown right in the camps’ own gardens. The meals just kept coming, and there was always more food than we could possibly finish.

At El Karama, every meal was served family style around one big table. We were even told not to worry about leftovers because anything we didn’t eat would be enjoyed by the camp staff. To make it even better, we shared nearly every meal with a troop of monkeys hanging around nearby, hoping for a little entertainment.

Kicheche Mara had its own unforgettable dining experiences. Every morning, breakfast was served somewhere new in the bush, including one morning on top of a cliff overlooking a river filled with hippos and elephants. It’s hard to imagine a better view to start the day.

The wildlife may be the reason you book a safari, but the food and dining experiences are a huge part of what made these camps so unforgettable.

When a hotel earns Michelin Three Keys, the expectations are pretty high. Giraffe Manor somehow managed to exceed them.

From elegant multi-course lunches and dinners to breakfast alongside the resident giraffes, every meal felt like an experience instead of just something to eat. The service was impeccable, every dish tasted incredibly fresh, and despite being all-inclusive, the menu never felt repetitive.

The attention to detail was everywhere. Even the coffee came with giraffe-themed latte art, making every meal feel just a little more special.

People come to Giraffe Manor for the giraffes, but don’t overlook the dining. It was every bit as memorable as the wildlife.

Have you ever fed a giraffe before??

Some places don’t seem real until you’re standing in them.

Giraffe Manor is a Michelin Three-Key hotel where breakfast comes with giraffe guests, your bedroom window doubles as a feeding station, and every photo feels too unbelievable to be true.

Beyond the giraffes, everything about the stay was incredible. It’s an all-inclusive experience with beautiful rooms, a pool, jacuzzi, three-course meals, and barista-made coffee using locally grown Kenyan beans. Every detail is thoughtfully done.
As unforgettable as our safaris were, nothing prepared us for the chance to spend so much time with these incredible animals. Staying here was truly a dream come true, and an experience we’ll never forget.
