From @thisisforkeeps about @thisdogisforkeeps: “Ozzie found his way into our hearts just when we needed him most. After my soul dog Bentley crossed the rainbow bridge, I felt an emptiness that seemed impossible to heal. Luke and I agreed to wait before welcoming another dog, but within weeks, the silence and absence of our usual furry chaos made the house feel too quiet. We missed the pitter-patter of paws and tufts of fur on the couch—so we started searching, hoping but not expecting to find a new love. Three weeks later, Luke came across Ozzie’s profile. His handsome face and striking heterochromatic eyes hooked us immediately. We arranged a meet-and-greet with Ozzie and his wonderful foster mom, who had cared for him for three months. Ozzie’s gentle nature and sweet energy won us over from the start. (We suspect “black dog syndrome” played a role in his long wait for adoption—how could anyone pass this guy up?!) Just two days later, Ozzie visited our home for the final seal of approval from our then-four-year-old. She was as smitten as we were. We said yes to adoption on the spot! Fun fact: Ozzie, like Bentley, came from Homeward Trails Animal Rescue. Another fun fact: Ozzie’s adoption coordinator was a longtime friend I met years ago while volunteering with Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. She even posted Bentley’s adoption profile back then, helping him find his way to us. We’ll always cherish Bentley’s memory, but Ozzie is already writing a wonderful new story with our family—and we’re so grateful.”

Bentley!! @thisdogisforkeeps #bentleybunkerandhisamazingairplaneears⠀ ⠀ For those of you who've been waiting to snag one of these in exchange for a direct donation to rescue (or animal-related org), keep an eye out for a post sometime mid-June! I am going to be opening up a few spots in exchange for a direct donation to @vetpaw. Bentley started it off with $75! Thanks B😍😘. I will be offering different donation tiers where depending on what you choose, you can get an edit + poster print, edit + canvas, or edit + canvas + stickers + pillowcase + shirt. My goal is to raise $500 for a couple of different rescues/organizations so if you miss out on this round, don't worry! I am going to try to do this several times before the year is up. ⠀ ⠀ And if you have already purchased this (or anything else) from my shop and are thinking "dangit, I should have waited!" --- your purchase always goes back to the animals in some way. Though my shop states I give back 50% profits, I've actually been giving back 100%. So whichever way you choose to support L&Co. (even with likes or shares or comments) - thank you so much!
