Every morning the day after Foreign Dissent I’m reminded what an inspiring and joyful experience it is for me to do this year after year. The bands give so much of themselves, physically, emotionally, and financially, to come to Orlando as part of their journey to punk rock mecca, @thefestfl. And then Orlando shows up to give their attention and support in return. Thank you to all the bands, @willspub, Micky for the drum kit, Mary and Orlando Girls Rock Camp for the amps, Chris at the door, Mason on sound, and Stacey for handling FD merch and selling all of the leftover FD anniversary shirts. FD will be back again in 2027, date to be announced soon.

Flatstock printing isn’t a service we really offer, just something I do for personal projects from time to time. That said, I couldn’t help but share these LP jackets from last week. Two color fronts and backs for the 10 year anniversary pressing of @thisisbrightr ‘s debut full length, available now on @bonfireclubrecs . Very stoked on how these turned out!

Surprise! Double release day for our buddy @thisisbrightr ! Both records are available from our LimitedRun page (US) or Laurie’s Bandcamp (UK). EU distro hopefully coming soon!

First up is the 10 year anniversary version of the debut full length, ‘Year One’. 125 copies on random colored vinyl with screen printed jackets and hand-stamped center labels. These were a labor of love, and we’re stoked on how they turned out.

There are a bunch of vinyl color variants, so you get what you get!

Next up is the follow up LP, ‘Year Two’ . Somehow Laurie managed to play these songs even faster than the ones on ‘Year One’. No one knows how he did it.

200 copies on random colored vinyl. Get what you get, and don’t pitch a fit!

To celebrate 10 years of ‘Year One’ we’ve also got this t-shirt up for pre-order for the next week only.

Single color front and back prints in heather grey ringspun cotton tees. Priced at $15 like they would’ve been in 2016.

Don’t wanna pay shipping? Really feel like demanding to see every vinyl color before making a purchase? Catch Laurie on tour throughout the Southeast next week, and pick up the records in person!

At Foreign Dissent, the vibes are immaculate. That comes from the energy and joy the bands bring. For many of them, it’s their first trip to play shows in the U.S. At FD11, 4 of the 7 bands are doing just that: HYPERDOG (Austria), Arid Wave (England), The Overjoyed (Greece), and Feeble Strength (England) are making the journey across the pond for the first time. We’ve also got Brightr, our first band from Wales, La Versión Extendida de las Cosas back for a repeat visit, and Age of Kid from Japan, the first ska band to ever play FD. Come hang with all seven bands on October 19 at Will’s Pub. Doors at 7pm, first band at 8pm, tickets only $20.
