our album ‘Maybe Luck’ is out today :) all of these songs came together in slightly different ways at different times and in different contexts and we tried to string them together in a way that felt honest to us as a trio making a record mostly by ourselves in addition to the record, we have a music video for the title track made by our wonderful friends @plume_girl_ @homebaker_hello up on youtube I really did not think I’d find collaborators and mentors and friends like this and to say my life is better is an extreme understatement. dante and alex are brilliant musicians and extremely patient and considerate people with a whole lot of love in their hearts and I am so lucky to have them in my life. can’t wait to make like 5 really good albums and then maybe one or two absolutely horrible ones together eternally grateful for everyone from @goodenglishrecords for believing in this music and all of our friends, family, partners, etc. for constantly encouraging and inspiring us anyways we are unbelievably stoked to play the record in full at ballroom next friday :) with a lineup of absolute legends hope yall like it proun 4ever xoxo <3<3<3

It’s my great pleasure that we show our latest work to you all. @thisisevank gave us the chance to work for @realmarcusking again, recreating some badass vintage styled @marshallamps 8X10 speaker cabs. All authentic materials straight from the UK 🖤🖤 We designed some 4X10 P.A speaker towers for @sleevelessmikerunyon with the same styling and authentic components! Thanks to @celestionuk for sending huge tone in the form of 40 G10 Vintage 60W to load into the cabs. Those lucky enough to be at @stagecoach tomorrow night, go see Marcus King Band tearing shit up 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 I love this job, the work and the community of friends we get to work with! 08 BWIB I love this song so much. I love how much of a cliche it is. I love how easy it feels to sing. It makes me smile to sing it and I love that. It can make me cry too and I also love that. It’s the only song I’ve ever built that does both. I love the guitarmony. I love that Ben and Alex and Taylor love it so much. I love that they get psyched to play it. I love how simple it is and I love how loud it is. I love that it makes me think of people I love and I love that it feels like a song of need for those people. Every piece of my life’s bounty and grace has been delivered by and through those people. Without them I would have no spark–no motion at all. I belong with them for sure. 06 RIGHT When Avi first heard this song they said I was really putting on my Texas for it. Recently in a conversation with Ben I found myself saying how badly I wanted to be from somewhere. I'm not from Texas but I've lived here longer than I've lived anywhere. I've fallen in love with as many Texans as I have anyone else. Growing up in South Carolina and Connecticut and Vermont and Chicago and Wisconsin and Maine and Ohio we were always listening to Lucinda. We were always listening to Pontiac. My parents always said they moved us away from SC because Emily was starting to get an accent. Before I moved here I thought I was different from these people. I actually did. Turns out that's no more true than it ever is anywhere. Of course. I've spent a lot of time on pavement now but before that I spent a lot of time on gravel and dirt and water. My mother works in healthcare and my father is a teacher but they still let me and Emily and Avi learn the country. And I still know the country. I don't have an accent but I still know the land. Know it's mine. Know it's yours. I love how it sounds here. I do put it on sometimes and I wear it with pride. Wolf is now out now. I really really really really like this song, guys. I felt very excited and proud when I wrote it. I think it’s unique and beautiful and cool. I think it’s cool how it undulates. Before going into the studio we did some practices where we focused on trying to undulate as a band. We basically nailed it, I believe. That’s what you get when you work with the Greatest Musicians in America. This song is about I’m a Wolf. I stalk the barren icy tundra. I curl up with my brood. My howl is a rallying cry and a symbol of freedom recognized by all species. My body and my self occupy an untrustworthy, predatory, lonesome, and deeply revered space in human mythology and psychology. I inhabit the realm of dream and story. I inhabit the land. I am handsome and playful. Wolf is song 03 on the record. I’m releasing the songs in the order that they appear on the record, by the way. I don’t know if I mentioned.
