✨ #FlashbackFriday to my days at aesthetic school (many years ago 😉) when I thought waxing was a breeze… until my brave brother volunteered his chest as my first test subject. Let’s just say, we all discovered his pain tolerance the hard way—and the echoes of his “take one for the team” screams still haunt me! 😂

To make it a full family affair, my sister was behind the camera, capturing every hilarious moment (and probably plotting her own revenge for all those years of sibling pranks). Talk about teamwork! 💪📸

**Educational moment:** Waxing is an art AND a science—so whether you’re a first-timer or a pro, always trust a certified aesthetician (and maybe leave your family out of it… unless you want some viral content!).

Ready for smooth skin and zero drama? Slide into my DMs and book your appointment—professional results, minus the family chaos - maybe, IYKYK ☺️💖

To honor the legendary life and work of Jane Goodall, and to continue with the October festivities - tonight we celebrate a monster-sized musical, King Kong! The legendary titan ruled 2018/2019 with puppetry the likes Broadway had not seen before! With the original film premiering 100 years ago, does the story still enthrall us or scare us?!

Show: King Kong
Song: Montage & “NYC Chase/Empire Ascent” & “Full Moon Lullaby” & “Queen of New York”

King Kong is a musical with music by Marius de Vries, lyrics by Michael Mitnick and Craig Lucas, a book by Lucas and additional musical and lyrical contributions by 3D, Sarah McLachlan, Guy Garvey, Justice and The Avalanches. It is based on the 1933 film of the same name. The original production was mounted in Australia in 2013. A re-worked Broadway production premiered in October 2018. In 2015, Jason Robert Brown was added to the team “to write songs for the characters. There’s a whole lot of music that already exists for King Kong.” A staged presentation was held in February 2016. Directed by Eric Schaeffer, the cast included Robert Creighton (Benny), Lora Lee Gayer (Ann Darrow), Marc Kudisch (Carl Denham) and Euan Morton (Jack Driscol).

The musical opened at the Broadway Theatre for previews on October 5, 2018, with the official opening on November 8. The creative team includes book writer Jack Thorne, director-choreographer Drew McOnie, and Australian songwriter Eddie Perfect, who replaced the former creatives. The play grossed just over $1 million during its opening week. On February 7, 2019, the show celebrated its 100th performance. The production closed on August 18, 2019, having 29 previews and 324 regular performances.

Enjoy!

What are your favorite Broadway memories of King Kong?!
