Here is the competition reel for the collaboration piece I did with Heize, @thisisheize at the Expo. ✨✨

First, a massive thank you again to our incredible model, Miranda (@miranda_43). Your bright energy kept us going through the competition, and we seriously couldn’t have done it without you. Also, a huge shoutout to Heize for suggesting we take on this Expo journey together. 🫶

For those who missed my last post, here’s a quick recap of how the judging worked: each of the 5 judges had 5 tokens to hand out to their favourite pieces. We were incredibly honoured to be one of only 4 artists to receive a token from every single judge, sending us straight through! Thank you so much to all the judges for validating our work. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

After two more rounds, we finished in 4th place. While we just missed the podium, the entire experience has been an amazing source of motivation that pushes me to grow even further.

Being my very first expo, there was a lot to take in, but it was a lot of fun! Thank you to everyone who cheered us on, and to our team for making this unforgettable.

We’ve got plenty of exciting collaboration pieces and stunning tattoos lined up, so definitely stay tuned for what’s coming next! 🥰💖

✨✨Our Mini Expo Vlog! 🎬🍿

Since it was my very first expo, the venue and lighting felt so unfamiliar that the videos and photos didn‘t turn out quite how I wanted 😭Plus, it’s my first time ever editing a reel like this, so it’s pretty raw and amateur—but I hope you still enjoy seeing a glimpse of the piece I worked so hard on during the event! 🥰 I promise I’ll study up and capture it way better next time.

A massive thank you again to everyone who dropped by our booth to see us, and a warm welcome to all the new faces who just discovered our work. 💫 SYDNEY TATTOO EXPO • MODEL CALL 💫

We are looking for a model for the upcoming Sydney Tattoo Expo! This is for a special collaboration project entering the Fine Line Competition category.

For the project, I am teaming up with the amazing fine-line artist, @thisisheize who works alongside me at the same studio! We will each be taking one thigh to create a matching set of beautiful plants and birds.

🙌 ONE THIGH ONLY?
We know getting both thighs done in one day is a massive commitment! If you are only interested in getting one thigh done(by either myself or @thisisheize), please feel free to reach out as well. We are open to finding two separate models!

📅 DATE & AVAILABILITY
• Friday, 26th June
• You must be available for the entire day. As this is for the competition, we need someone who can stay with us until late for the final judging sessions.

🎨 ABOUT THE DESIGN & SPECIES
You can choose from our list, but we are also completely open to other species! If you have specific Australian native plants or birds in mind that aren’t on the list, let us know and we can discuss them together.
*Note: Since this is a competition piece, we require full creative freedom to finalise the design in our own style.

✨ RATE & TIMING
• Once you provide us with your details, we will send you the special discounted rate for this Expo project.
• Please note that @thisisheize and I have different tattooing styles, so the session times for each leg will vary. We will explain all the specific details in our reply to you!

💌 HOW TO APPLY (DM or Email)
If you are interested, please send us :
1. Clear, well-lit photos or your thighs (front & side view)
2. Your selection per thigh :6-7 plants options and 1-2 bird options (from our list or your own ideas!)
Please specify if you are applying for both thighs or just one thigh.

I think this might be my first time tattooing a kookaburra as the main subject!✨
In Aboriginal stories, the kookaburra is known as ‘the one who wakes the dawn‘ and ‘the bird that calls the light‘.
Maybe because of its unique laugh, it’s also said to symbolise brightness, healing, and joy.
Such a wonderfully Australian creature 🐦🇦🇺
