“You’re getting plagued with coconuts…” 🥥🤍

Long before Sri Lanka became a destination on so many travel lists, it became a place of inspiration for Sade Adu.

In one of the only interviews we’ve been able to find where she reflects on her time in Sri Lanka, she speaks about the island’s generosity, the people bringing fresh coconuts and fruit, and the deep impression it left on her.

What makes this even more special is that Sade spent time at the very hotel where we’ll be gathering for #RawLoveRetreat. As a Black womban, artist, and lifelong admirer of her work, discovering this after spending the last nine months living in #SriLanka felt incredibly meaningful. I had no idea we were walking through a place that had once held another artist whose work has inspired generations.

There’s something about this island.

It has a way of slowing you down.
Of opening the he(art).🫀
Of reminding you that beauty doesn’t have to be chased.
It can simply be received.

Next March, we’re inviting 15 women to experience that for themselves.

Because it became the first place where I stopped looking outside of myself for what had been within me all along.

Living in Sri Lanka changed the way I move through the world and it’s the reason I created Raw Love Retreat.

This won’t be a retreat built around checking off an itinerary or escaping your life for a week.

It’s an invitation to slow down, reconnect and experience Sri Lanka through the relationships, culture, and hidden beauty that have transformed me over these past months.

We’re keeping this experience intentionally intimate.

Some of you have been asking when I’m sharing more.. so here we go. 🤍

This is Raw Love Retreat.

An intimate sound healing and sisterhood experience. 8 days in the South of Sri Lanka. Built for women who are tired of performing “healed” and just want somewhere safe to actually BE.

I’ve spent years exploring healing through stillness and inward work. This is a different side of that same devotion. Healing through living fully. Through culture, movement, food, music, connection, and being wide awake inside a place as raw and alive as Sri Lanka.

Because sometimes the deepest medicine isn’t found in retreat from the world. It’s found in full participation with it. 💯🙏🏽

No itinerary pressure.
No proving yourself.
No shrinking to fit the room.
No funny acting vibes lol.
Realness and rawness.

Just nervous system rest, soulful connection, music, movement, nourishment and the kind of culture immersion that changes something in you fa realllll.

15 women. That’s definitely the intention.
A group small enough that everyone is actually seen.

This isn’t about filling seats. It’s about building a container where every woman in the room is truly witnessed!! 🙌🏽
