Nobody talks about how broken the credit transfer system really is.

You study for 2 years. Move to the US. And they tell you to start over.

At NIT, you study on ASU curriculum from day one, so when it's time to transfer, your credits go with you. All of them.

It was a pleasure sitting down with Sajjad Syed, @pasha.org.pk Chairman for a conversation on freelancers, fair taxation, IT exports, policy, and where our industry goes from here.

There is enormous potential in Pakistan’s tech ecosystem, but realizing it requires serious conversations around the decisions shaping its future.

In Pakistan’s IT industry, our biggest asset isn’t technology. It’s people.

But when Pakistani talent is trained, developed, and then hired away by competitors offering slightly more, the industry faces a difficult question: are we building an ecosystem, or simply becoming a talent pool for everyone else?

The answer starts with how we see our people. They are not commodities or machines. They are the primary asset of every technology company.

And when you understand that, investing in their motivation, growth, and excellence becomes a business decision, not just an HR decision.

There’s no better place to begin dissecting than education.

Every conversation about Pakistan somehow finds its way back to it. Talent, entrepreneurship, innovation, productivity, leadership. They all start here.

That is why the first topic we’re going to dissect in the RoundTable Dissecting Series is dedicated to education.

We’ll take industry and academia together in this and for this, Dr. Hammad Naveed will be joining me. Together, we’ll move beyond identifying problems and begin dissecting them. What is actually broken? Why has progress been so slow? And what practical steps can move us forward?

The goal of this series is simple. Less noise. More clarity. More solutions.
Drop you education specific problems in the comments. Help us dissect better!

When we were producing Majlis, many people told us that Pakistanis do not value thoughtfully created content. They said people only care about big celebrities, viral moments, and 30-second videos showing someone’s daily routine.

You proved them wrong. You listened to conversations that had no controversy, no clickbait, and no manufactured drama. You gave Majlis 199,800 seconds of your life. For that, I am grateful.

Now it’s time to give something back to the audience and the guests who trusted us with their time. After hosting 50+ guests on Majlis and exploring countless ideas, challenges, and perspectives, I’ve realized that simply identifying problems is not enough.

With the RoundTable Dissecting Series, I’ll be diving deep into the problem statements we’ve uncovered. What needs to be solved, why it matters, and who needs to be part of the solution.

A series focused not just on problems, but on solutions.

Can you guess what we’re going to dissect first?
