Part 2 of life changing moments that defined my 365 journey:

-In the summer of 2021 I did a 30 day challenge to face my fear of failure. On the last day, I went skydiving. And true terror is never more apparent than willingly jumping out a plane attached to a stranger. But that was one of the most amazing liberating moments of my life. It made me realize this small fact: fears are not always meant to be obeyed, they are meant to be challenged, because liberation is so often the gift that lies on the other side.

- when I first arrived in NYC last October, my roommates had planned to climb the highest peak in NY state and I went along. With very little training in hiking or fitness I climbed a huge mountain with two of my roommates and when I say I barely got out of there alive…No but it was one of the most challenging experiences of my life. But I NEVER would have finished without @themingjie and Evan to encourage me every half second. I will say that in that moment I learned that you are stronger than you think.

- In another fun challenge of mine I decided to face my fear of self consciousness and dance in the streets of NYC with my roommates. We essentially had a dance party on the subway and def had some people think we were crazy but it was a memory for a lifetime. I remember as one lady was leaving the train, she said that we really made the day of people in that subway.

- when I moved to NYC I had nothing on my bucket list except one thing: to ice skate in Central Park. When I did that, it felt real. That I conquered a HUGE fear of leaving CA where ALL of my loved ones were to this big and scary but wonderful city of NYC.

- and finally my finished photos from the @nytimes article from @laurapitcher and @amandahakan. Getting my photos taken in a swimsuit as a mid sized Asian woman was incredibly terrifying but it felt like a dream It was powerful, As someone who has suffered from all forms of body image issues, body dysmorphia and bulimia.

As I list these big moments for myself I find myself tearing up, because in a way it sounds like the craziest stuff and it doesn’t feel like I did all these things, but I did.

You are more powerful than think.

This trip... This gift was so impactful. I made some incredible friends, did things I never thought I would do, and feel more grounded in my Judaism than I have in years. What a whirlwind. I'm having a hard time even putting into words what this all meant to me. So I'll leave it at this.... Yalla, let's go! I can't wait for One More Story. Here is a glimpse into the memories that were made so I can look forward to the ones we're going to make. @shorashimisrael
