FD2026 - OVER AND OUT 🖤

Where to start. We’re still reeling after 14 bands over two days, and we can’t thank you all enough for making it such a wonderful time. To all the bands who delivered killer sets and were an absolute joy, as well as to all of you that showed up and supported in any way— thank you. We can’t keep Future Days going if people don’t buy tickets, so thank you for helping us show people that Birmingham is wonderful, and should not be skipped.

Thank you to all the team behind the scenes + to our amazing photographers Rob Barrett and Sam Wood for capturing the days. We wish there was more space for more pictures, but fear not, we will post them in time.

Future Days will return in 2027.

This weekend we saw the return of @futuredaysbhx to @thecrossingdigbeth - as usual it was a smorgasbord of alternative music, but here are our highlights;

🍄 @1000rabbitsband brought us some jaunty alt-pop with strings and synths

🍄 local newcomers @weareloum stole the show on the @weird_on_purpose stage with their hypnotic doom soul

🍄 @nightgardenfestival alumni @slvrwngkllr were a triumphant opener for the whole festival

🍄 @working_mens_club took us down an acid techno rabbit hole on the Friday night.

Bonus mention to @innerstrings for elevating this whole thing with incredible live visuals! ✨ where you there? Who were your standouts?

Friends, let the fun & loving start & trill your penny whistle ‘cos another magic Monday morning just got mighty.

First off a NEW SINGLE OUT TODAY! “Hand Me My Backside” is a super limited edition flexi disc packaged in a luscious 12 page booklet featuring a selection of original paintings by Fliss and Lloyd’s song lyrics. Some people say they are cheap, shitty & sound awful but others actually like the band & this flexi 45 finds the Fab Five in fizzing form, whinging & making a racket with all of their usual panache. When they’re gone that’ll be it, so order yours now

But you beauties, be sure to save some excitement ‘cos come the new year the glorious ‘Gales will be taking a fresh feast of musical material on the road around the UK. Tickets on sale from today everywhere you’d expect them to be. Go get ‘em !!!
