Wait for it! I wish you could see the double somersault I did after hitting the ground. Can’t sleep on the muddy tubes in an obstacle course race, they might take you out 🤣

A relentless downpour during the 12K Elite race added an extra challenge to an already demanding course. From Heartbreak Ridge to the Eliminator, and the steep climbs in between, every obstacle required athletes to dig even deeper.

After a year off the @usaocr National Championships returned with a bang!

This year @thisiswarx was the host race and I don’t know if there is a better race to host the National Championship. War X has some of the hardest obstacles in the country combined with brutal terrain. This year the weather decided to make it even better as we ran through a complete downpour for the entire 12k race.

Going into this race weekend I wanted to retain my National Champion title in the 3k and podium in the 12k.

I slipped off the very first failable obstacle in the 12k and that completely changed how I had to race the rest of it. Knowing I couldn’t afford any more fails I slowed down and kept a controlled effort through the rest of the race instead of pushing to keep up with the leaders. This tactic managed to work out and I ended up on top of the podium!

In the 3k we went out super hard and didn’t let off the gas. It was a battle the entire race and I haven’t been that dead after a race in such a long time. It was amazing! The final obstacle was the deciding factor for the 3k and I finished 2nd behind @kian_oboyle by .07 seconds. It was one of the greatest races I’ve ever been apart of!

It was such a good time racing with everyone and thank you to @usaocr and all the board members and volunteers that put in so much time and effort into making this a perfect national championship race.

Also the 3 band system has grown on me over the years and I now believe it does the best job of proving who’s the best OCR athlete!

Super late to posting but the last few weeks have been like a whole year. WarX 2026: left be beaten and bruised but went completely as expected given the time I've been able to put towards training. This truly is the best course for our USAOCR team trials.

I considered it a huge win just to get through the low rigs and gibbons; historically my arch enemies. This was a great test going into Worlds and I think I've done pretty well lately considering the constraints and circumstances.

Loved seeing everyone; it's been too long. Looking forward to Ireland!

@thisiswarx is always a great "sufferfest" and by that, I mean it is a semi brutal course with the people ya meet and come to be friends with. Every year we look forward to this race. Traveling to Ohio and making plans for the weekend. We enjoy doing the triliogy to make sure to get the whole effect but also to spend more time as an ocr family. If Y'all have not tried this before, it is worth the trip. The coordinator and staff are somw of the sweetest people you'll ever meet but also some of the most bad ass.

True greatness and glory are not defined by public applause or medals, but by the quiet, daily dedication to self-improvement.

I will look at others who do achieve greatness in a category and I will say: look at what is possible. How close can I get to that greatness? How close can I get to that glory? But my glory, it doesn’t happen in front of crowd. It doesn’t happen in a stadium or on a stage. There are no medals handed out. It happens in the darkness of the early mornings. In solitude. Where I try. And I try. And I try again. With everything I have, to be the best that I can possibly be. Better than I was yesterday. Better than people thought I could be. Better than I thought I could be. Faster and stronger and smarter. And claim one victory that no one can ever take away from me. Ever. A victory that is earned every single day. A victory of determination and will and discipline. A victory achieved because: I will not stop. - Jocko Willink

I enjoy races, events and people that push my limits.

Just know where my real victories are won every. Damn. Day.

I will not stop.

Keep fucking going.
