Fight the humidity with a good primer spray. I suggest either Two Faced Replenish Primer & Setting Spray or the lower priced option NYX Finishing Spray Both are cruelty free, a very important feature to me. Living in Washington, D.C., Redeye photographer @jaredsoares has a connection to his home city. And when @itsjanuarythird contacted him about @destinationdc's most recent campaign needs, Jared was happy to bring the city to life through his thoughtful eye and style with help from colorful local businesses, iconic locations, and the beautiful people of D.C.

Beyond delighted to share images that I made in collaboration with @itsjanuarythird for the 2021 @destinationdc tourism recovery campaign. Elated to play a very small part in this entirely local team that brought this amazing creative to life. It was a joy to work at a lot of my favorite local spots and I hope the photography shows how much I love this city.

If you happen to find yourself in Philadelphia please check the buses for the campaign 🚎

At long last, we can share some big news and big work: January Third was chosen out of 25 agencies to create Washington DC’s 2021 recovery advertising campaign — which officially launched today at a press conference with the mayor.

For the founding team at J3, DC has always been home. It’s the city that raised us, the city that gave us our creative community, the city we love. It’s a true gift to have the opportunity to tell the story of our city in :30-something seconds to everyone who will listen.

We’ve had the absurdly good fortune to work with the thoughtful and talented teams at @destinationdc and @eventsdc and a massive crew of entirely local creative brains to bring all of this together. This adventure meant 4 days of shooting over 14 locations in every one of DC’s wards. And it was a joy.

If you find yourself outside of DC for a brief moment this summer, check your TV, Hulu, the buses of Philly, and just about everywhere else to see our little love letter to our city.
