I’m always listening to records at home before I go to the club and occasionally play vinyl sets out too.

Here are some goodies that stay in my bag every night regardless of where I’m at.

Comment “🔥” and I’ll DM you a playlist with all these songs.

The reviews keep rolling in! Amapiano Eyes by @dnandiodhiambo is resonating with DJs left right and centre! Check out @thisjaygreen with his copy!

Accompanied by the deep beats of Amapiano music, D. Nandi Odhiambo’s gritty, high-stakes new novel Amapiano Eyes is a masterful blend of literary fiction and noir—an existential thriller where the past and present collide.

Of the book Jayson says: “Not sure how many people are in the Venn Diagram for loving crime novels, DJ culture and cultural theory, but I am one of them!”

Jayson is a long time DJ, known as a frequent tour opener for LCD Soundsystem, as well as a member of various bands over the years including Orchid and Panthers. He is now releasing music on DFA Records as Jayson Green and the Jerk- their debut 12” is available now! Jayson is also a co-owner of one the hottest new bars in Toronto @docsgreendoorlounge! Check them out next time you’re in the Junction!

First attempt at capturing the chaos. Here’s my take on 'Epilogue of a Car Crash' by the legendary Orchid. Far from perfect, but the energy is real.

Just a little heads-up: I decided to trim the song down a bit for this video. The original intro is about a minute and a half long, which feels like a lifetime for a short clip, so I cut straight to the chase, hope the Orchid purists don't mind, hahaha!

Massive thanks to @trebdeeeee for the music and video direction; thank you for guiding me through the frantic energy of this track. Also, big thanks to @hi.anggaa for the extra hand in making this whole thing happen. This is just the start, and I’m definitely learning as I go. More to come!
