Summer may be gone, and with it the warmth we came to love over the past three months… but the outside energy? Oh, that’s definitely sticking around. As we ease into the new season, a fresh dose of events are here to keep the vibes alive and the community connected✨

This week’s edition of the Ubuntu Weekend Guide is serving exactly what we need⭐: a Thursday night warm-up with 100 Gigs, a night of Gqom to celebrate DJ Mangaliso, a nostalgic Y2K throwback night with Home Late, and our Wellington crew holding it down at the Afrourban Soundstage at the Newtown Festival.

The lineup this weekend is stacked with reasons to step outside and show love to the sounds, spaces, and people that make our community so special🤎

So tell us — where are we linking up first? 👀

We’re backkk⭐ Did you miss us? Because we definitely missed you! And we’re returning with the one and only Weekend Guide to keep you posted on what’s happening in the community and where you can show up this weekend.

Kicking off February is Sunset Sounds☀️ this Thursday evening, presented by Auckland Live. With a stunning lineup of female artists taking the stage, we’ll be treated to dreamy vocals from Tusekah herself — Aotea Square is about to sound so good.

After a soulful start, we’re heading to Thursday Bar for 💯 Only, as Kid Rey steps behind the decks and sets the tone for top-tier energy only. Truly, what better way to usher in the long weekend?

Saturdays are reserved for Rhythm & Vibes at East Street🔥, brought to us by SBWL. The music alone is reason enough to pull up, but if you need more convincing, the lineup is stacked and you already know anything SBWL touches is bound to be one for the books.

Sounds to us like your weekend is sorted… so where are we linking up first? 🤎✨
