I wanted to wait for Diez y Seis + Hispanic Heritage Month to share this BIG news.

With an absolutely incredible team of folks, we pulled off an amazing day at @the.orange.magnolia and Masur Hall and special BTS filming around town honoring St. John Colony, Azie Taylor Morton + rural Texas while raising support and dollars for the Caldwell County Democratic Party and Gina Hinojosa.

And guess what? LOCKHART BEAT HOUSTON in fundraising!! That’s what a small town can do when neighbors show up for one another.
::
Musicians, artists, photographers, filmmakers, chefs, florists, stylists, historians, business owners, vegans, carnivores, moms, dads, teens ~ and supporters from four counties ~ came together in Lockhart, Texas to make it happen. Muchísimas Gracias!!

Small town. Big community. BIG impact.
Most importantly: your voice matters. Your vote matters.

It’s been a wild last month. In so many ways last month felt quite nostalgic. I’ve been on tour too many times to count and I’ve met some “Big wigs” but last month felt different. It felt like I was walking a path I had been down before, everything was quite familiar and yet all new. I made new friends, acquired new memories, and had some ridiculous new firsts *cough, *cough -the private jet. Now that life is back to what I know as normal I find myself in a consistent state of grateful. I can’t believe what music has done for me. Most of the people I know and love are because of music. Thanks for sticking with us.

I’m still taking in what our community made possible last night. 🧡💚 Together, we raised over $120,000 for @songsummitfoundation . But beyond that number is something even more meaningful: a community that believes deeply in the power of music to connect us, heal us, and create opportunities for the next generation of artists.

I have the incredible privilege of seeing firsthand what this Foundation makes possible, from supporting emerging artists through Summit Rising to creating experiences that bring people together through music, wellness, and education.

To everyone who donated, attended, performed, partnered with us, or simply believes in this mission: thank you! 🙏 To Susan and Glenn, thank you endlessly for your generosity and hosting us for the last 4 years!

This type of generosity is what allows us to keep doing this work and continue building something that extends far beyond Song Summit weekend.

I couldn’t be more grateful for this community or more excited for what we’re building together. 🎼🎸🎶

Still on cloud nine from being on the road for the @amziahkingfilm press tour with @officiallymcconaughey just over a week ago. Quill turns 15 years old next month and we are so grateful to Andrew Patterson and Matthew for breathing new life into this little folk tune of ours. Check out Quill featuring Matthew and Ben as well as our re-release of Quill on Our Inheritance anywhere you listen to tunes. And don’t forget to catch @amziahkingfilm in theaters, you’re in for a treat.

Didn’t know my life was missing a Surprise Sprinkle until these ladies threw me one… I moved to Austin 6 years ago and never dreamed I’d find friends like these… so beyond grateful for this crew and nights like last night… it was a perfect send off into my journey of becoming a mother of two… 🤍 thank you Ally and Libby for planning a genderless sprinkle, Sophie for the yummy cake and to all of you who brought a dish… my heart is full… #mothersmilk
