ATLANTA: please join us Sunday, October 18, 7 PM to 8:30 PM, as we spatially and sonically activate the Westside Trail Atlanta Beltline Market @atlantabeltline across .8 miles of processional live art work.

glo will be joined by a community ensemble that integrates a choreographed map of sound, live sculpture, and movement into an immersive live art work that explores the poetics of intimacy, social touch, and the weight of shared physical spaces. Making Kin focuses on source materials from American artist Lonnie Holley’s album, “Keeping a Record of it” (2016) and Donna Haraway’s 2016 book Making Kin in the Chthulucene. Earth (chthulu) and new kind (cene) is the act of not being able to think of ourselves as disconnected from the rest of life on earth.

There are no tickets required as the public art work is free and public to all. Should you need assistance in attending, please reach out to glo directly at info@gloatl.org. There will be one water station along the 80 - minute procession, beginning and ending on a lit path at Atlanta Beltline Market @Allene. Thank you for being on this journey with us, this is a new date due to last week’s rain. We can’t wait to be together soon, to experience this immersive art in the real moment.

The Atlanta Beltline Market is located at 1089 Allene St. SW

Making Kin is a @glo_platform commission of Atlanta Beltline Art. Making Kin is made possible with support of a LAB Residency (2025) @highmuseumofart Making Kin is made possible with support of Winston Taylor and Beloved Community Inc, and @dorianlivesthearts Office of Design, City of Atlanta. This project is made possible with residency support @thegoatfarm 🦏

Last night’s pouring rain, all that beauty. Friends, a rescheduled date is now set - Sunday, October 18, 7 PM for Making Kin, our people processional live art work for @atlantabeltline. In a real moment, the rain was a space of study and mutual reflection, and we practiced in the beautiful architecture of the fugue. “That’s what my six space shuttles will do,” thank you forever @lonnieholleysuniverse

We can’t wait to be together very soon. Thank you @cameronwilson.music for your presence, photo, and film documenting.
