Renew Fest is taking place on
Saturday, October 17, 2026
on the grounds of Walkerton Tavern
(2392 Mountain Rd., Glen Allen, VA)
by the Glen Allen Cultural Arts Center

The day will be filled with activities, workshops, and live performances. The focus of the event is where creative expression and personal wellness overlap.

I'll be co-leading a performance workshop in the gazebo with @librarian.robert @robert_phanord
at 11:00 a.m. where we will be singing songs, reciting poems, and sharing monologues in between conversations about the beauty and subjectivity of art.

At 1:00 p.m., I'll be leading a workshop focused on what the Akashic Records are and how they can support personal and spiritual development. This will be located under the tent to the right of the sign-in desk.

Park at the Cultural Arts Center and walk over to the Walkerton Tavern grounds for a day aligned with the energy of intentional renewal.

⚔️🫀 You know the story. You don’t know this version.

💫 VCUarts Theatre’s production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet is an exploration of identity, archetype, and the navigation of internal desire in relation to the external expression of the self.

In what ways do we elect to “perform” roles that are often out of alignment with our true inner selves? When the comedy of life turns tragic, how can we break from constricting societal expectations, cultural limitations, and inherited trauma to expand through perceived endless cycles and into undefined territory?

In this production, the timeless tale and classic text are approached from a collective of unique perspectives that dare to confront both the structure of the story itself and the intentional framing of it. In the midst of overwhelming life circumstances, how can we empower ourselves to reclaim what was always ours to hold dear?

🎟 Tickets available using the linktree in bio!

Part 3!

I energetically connected with a DEER!

Here's what she had to say...

In Part 1, she invited us to pick up after ourselves.

In Part 2, she offered an invitation to connect with Mother Gaia's natural rhythms and her beating heart rather than expecting her to perform like a machine.

In Part 3, she shared that animals don't "hate" humans or wish them ill, they simply want to see humanity enter back into "right relationship" and reciprocity with Mother Nature. Animals know there is a give and take and have respect for the ebbs and flows of life.

Part 2

Today I energetically connected with a DEER! Here's what she had to say...

In Part 1, she invited humanity to pick up trash as a gift or thank you to Mother Gaia, nature, and the animals.

In Part 2, the deer demonstrated how rather than attuning to Mother Earth's natural rhythms like the rest of nature, humanity is attempting to get Gaia to perform, present, and exist within contained and constrained parameters. This masculine interpretation of precision and time is limited and not in alignment with her true forms of expression. She is an organic, sentient, soulful being, and not a mechanical device. She must be allowed to breathe, shift, stretch, and expand in honesty rather than out of performance.

Humanity is invited to tune into the natural rhythm of our mother's beating heart as if we are in the womb of creation, instead of asking her to perform and present like a mechanical ticking clock.

Stay tuned for Part 3!

Today I energetically connected with a deer!

She had three messages for humanity. The first was a gentle reminder and an invitation to pick up trash whenever we are out and about as a gift to Mother Gaia, nature, and the animals.

I picked up trash after our interaction.

The next two messages were profound...

I'm baaaaack!

After a very intentional pause, I am finally able to return to energy work and being more present.

The ability to choose this fills me with such deep gratitude.

What are you feeling grateful for today?

Learn this anti-anxiety technique in 3 easy steps!

Nervous system regulation is an essential tool that we all need in our back pocket.

If you're feeling anxious, this "tippity tap technique" is a subtle way to speak directly to your subconscious mind through your subtle body.

It welcomes centered breath into the body, meets at the center meridian line, activates the left and right hemispheres of the brain, and brings acupuncture points into cohesion before speaking to your subconscious mind.

Are you struggling to release or forgive someone who hurt or harmed you, causing trauma in your life?

Instead of focusing on the weight of that pain or the person who hurt you (and whether or not they deserve forgiveness), turn your attention inwards to heal your inner child, identify and release limiting beliefs, and to balance your nervous system, first.

Often times, our subconscious mind or inner child will create a belief, after being hurt, in an effort to keep themselves safe from being hurt again. Although this comes from a place of love and self preservation, it can also come with fears of having let, allowed, or perhaps even deserved the pain. This can snowball into feelings of unworthiness, of being unlovable, or undeserving.

You'll know when you're ready to release the weight of the other person's actions, in the meantime, focus on loving, accepting, and maybe even forgiving yourself. This is not because you did something wrong, it is because you may have created a fear or belief that you did. Practicing forgiveness and / or acceptance of the self is the release valve that often leads to healing.

Keep in mind how you did the best you could with what you had and breathe deeply through any intense emotions that come up. EFT Tapping, journaling, breathing exercises, imagining hugging your inner child, and talking with a therapist or trusted friend can help immensely.
