Winter wrap-up 2/2. Some of the snapshots that encapsulate the truly special moments ❤️ Starting with early morning, misty stappies before work. Usually it’s a no-phone zone for me, but I’m glad I could take this snap. 😘😘😘 There’s a sunset on my baking tray! Tenderness. ‘Sobabili (2026)’ by @muholizanele at @southernguildgallery. Lazzo making us all laugh at the newest theatre in town, @theantiquetheatre, with @thatsnotfunnycpt. Loved this gig! @lazgola My Women’s Day request, in no particular order: A walk with an ocean view, a seaside meal (including but not limited to oysters, calamari, white wine), and coffee in bed. Here’s part of that. Love me a leather jacket! Again, @muholizanele at @southernguildgallery. A standout show for me this month. A gallery date with my darling @theosonnekus. ‘How to Like It’ by @lucy___robson__ 😍 “Balancing beauty with quiet foreboding, ‘How to Like It’ examines the enduring cultural scripts that shape feminine desire, revealing how looking, longing, and self-presentation are learned, performed, and continually negotiated.” QT with Suzie Q ❤️‍🔥 @funksuey Fangirling over @thistigerlilly, taking us on a tour of the art at @belmondmountnelsonhotel. If you’re looking for fun, free things to do in the city, this is one of them. Every Thursday at 17:00. Views from Ocular Lounge while celebrating @edyanganiose’s appointment as incoming Artistic Director of @zeitzmocaa. @candice__e__ and I supporting @juliadianabuchanan at ‘Pretty Serious’, the second iteration of @artschoolafrica x @ormsdirect’s Women’s Month exhibition. As seen here, @seraholland (L) and Kauthar Kamish (R). Celebrating @quezondi at @nkula_cpt ✨ As per regular scheduling, walkies after work. Back in my favourite kitchen corner, this time perfecting how to cook meat because it’s not something I’m particularly good at. My veggie garden coming in use! Sage and garlic butter to pour over steak. It may or may not be my favourite herb. Morning adventures with @lazgola, this time at @roastinrecords. As mentioned earlier, a seaside seafood meal. Saved the best for last. Some of my very favourite humans reunited around one table. Speci

Winter wrap-up 1/2. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’ll be holding onto these warm, wholesome, delicious memories tightly. Starting with @waterdixon’s mesmerising solo at @everard_read_cape_town_. Well done @wendydixon and @caitlin_warther. Must stay warm! A selfie before seeing @cilyf, Chris and Jaxon for their farewell. It gives me so much hope to see a cultural space like @theantiquetheatre popping up in the inner-city. In this economy. Please go support our local, incredible talent. In this evening’s case, @thatsnotfunnycpt and @lazgola amongst others. A visit to @southernguildgallery to see @muholizanele’s latest solo, Kanye Nawe, which translates to “alongside you” or “with you”. Spectacular show, spectacular curation. Thank you for your precious time in taking us around, @_lindseyraymond! Happy first birthday, Dune! S/O @paolarunievich and Theo! Thank you for bringing some of the OGs together too. Queen Candice! We love you! As does everyone else around you. Happy birthday to you. I can buy myself flowers! Fire and chill w/ @lazgola. In my element. It’s not a nightcap if it isn’t red wine and whiskey… @lazgola (and tequilas for special occasions, of course) The state of my veggie and herb garden. I can’t use this all myself, so we’ve been compound buttering, infused oiling, you name it. Happy birthday @biz99! What a good group of humans. A special mention to your gorgeous wife, @simschultz, too! The last hoorah for a while. Go get ‘em, @thistigerlilly! A seafood adventure w/ @lazgola, train trip and all. Rhubarb! Loving experimenting in the kitchen again. ❤️❤️❤️ (Taken at @carlafranco_official’s show at @thehouseofmachines_cpt. Go check her out.) For the love of @a33capetown and its community. And its good, good music. And some of @puletaukobong’s art collection! Lying on my floor in front of the fire is one of my favourite things to do, no doubt about it. A massive highlight! A heartwarming dinner with @mandydamant and her family. There’s something so special about hanging out with people who’ve known you for so many years, even if you only see them every now and then. The start of a fennel and apple salad, inspired by @kate

“Ardent Embers” Winter Group Exhibition Opening this Friday 26th of June 2026 @latripclubandsocial 102 Castle Street Cape Town, South Africa 7-9pm: VIP Exhibition Preview (Invite Only) 9-11pm: Free Entry 11pm-2am: R100 Entry Fee Curated by Jared Aufrichtig Artist Lineup: Roger Ballen, Faith47, Ryan Shava, RISK, Marti Lund, Samurai Farai, Lona Ndzimande, KRONK DJ Lineup: @thistigerlilly @dirtydiscorecords @shoemaker_cpt @dj_justbe As winter descends and the days grow shorter, the Ardent Embers winter group show offers a space to pause, reflect, and discover warmth in the chill. Rather than viewing the season as a time of dormancy, this exhibition highlights the subtle, persistent fire that burns within the human spirit and the creative process. Gathered from a diverse collective of artists, the works in this exhibition span various mediums. Each piece serves as a visual ember, speaking to the resilience found in nature, the comfort of human connection, and the quiet introspection that winter invites. At its core, Ardent Embers explores the contrast between the cold exterior and the vibrant, internal worlds of creation. Just as a single spark can illuminate a dark room or a flame can provide refuge against the frost, the art showcased here provides solace and inspiration during the year’s longest nights. Viewers are invited to wander through the gallery and experience this season through the unique, reflective eyes of each exhibiting artist. Whether you are drawn to the comforting nostalgia of a piece or the bold, energetic spark of another, this collection celebrates the beauty of slowing down, noticing the light, and kindling your own quiet fires. “Ardent Embers” can start the biggest fires even in the dead of winter.

Over the past few months, I’ve been building something that’s very close to my heart. It’s called Bridges of Light. It’s a space for real conversations, reflection and meaningful connection — where people can simply show up as they are, without pressure or expectation. In a world where so much feels rushed and surface-level, spaces like this matter. We had our first launch recently and seeing it come to life — the people, the conversations, the atmosphere — reminded me why this kind of space is needed. This is just the beginning. If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to follow the journey 👉 @bridges.of.light #BridgesOfLight #IntentionalSpaces #HumanConnection #HealingInCommunity #MindfulLiving8
