If you want to talk about bocce playoffs being fire, Big Star delivered. Each game was tight, exciting, and a blast to watch. Upsets came left and right, hearts were broken, and it all ended with a walk-off casino to win the pins.

Our semifinals kicked off with seed Sodas with the Boys facing Pallino Pounders. It was a tight, back-and-forth battle that came down to the final frame. With Pallino Pounders holding point and out of balls, Sodas had one last shot… but it missed the mark, sealing the win for Pallino Pounders.

On the other side of the Gold Bracket, Big Ted’s Bocce Boys faced off against Roll Models in another tight matchup. Big Ted’s threw everything they had at them, but they couldn’t put an end to Roll Models’ Cinderella run.

The Gold finals opened as a frame-for-frame battle, with Pallino Pounders leading 8-5 at halftime. But the second half was a new game. Roll Models caught fire, taking a 9-8 lead before Pallino Pounders answered right back. With the score at 14-12 and Roll Models holding point but out of balls, the Pounders had one chance left. Kevin stepped up, lined up a raffa, and nailed it, knocking Roll Models out and sealing a walk-off casino for the win. Bravo!!

In the Silver ‘ship between Brats and Non-Brunettes, Bocce Brats came out hot, jumping to an 8-0 lead. 4 Non-Brunettes showed some signs of life and started to chip away, but the Brats were too much for ‘em, cruising to a Silver Championship that felt worthy of Gold.

Gold🥇 - Pallino Pounders
Gold🥈- Roll Models
Silver🩶- Bocce Brats

Yesterday we celebrated International Women’s Day with our biggest and best Women’s Tournament yet.

25 teams. 100+ women. All packed into CYM Ukrainian Youth Association for a very 90s day of bocce. Neon. Grunge. Hip Hop. All of it.

Proceeds from the day supported @girlsinthegame , helping empower the next generation of girls through sports and leadership.

Congrats to our champions Lilia Zaparaniuk, Monica Siggelkow, Shawna Watts, and Giselle Vaughn Fatigati, who went undefeated in group play and carried that momentum straight through the bracket to take the whole thing. 🏆

🥇 Lilia Zaparaniuk, Monica Siggelkow, Shawna Watts, Giselle Vaughn Fatigati
🥈 Mel Doherty, Nicolette Rockwell, Annie Duranowski, Vicki Mudro
🩶 Alisa Baum, Erin Flanagan, Erica Bohac, Vicki Stamatakos

Huge thanks to everyone who showed up to celebrate and support the incredible women of ABC.

Last night at O’Cleo’s pub, 5 lassies tried to harness the luck o’the Irish to reach the pot of GOLD at the end of the rainbow. But alas, the bocce leprechauns and their wicked hot shots had other plans. So, the lassies must settle for a pot of silver. ☘️🥈
