@thomas.kuhlow put together an extremely productive summer and returned to campus +5 mph up from his spring season.

The biggest focus was getting his foot down earlier and delaying extension.

Thomas had a tendency to overstride, which left him with very little to rotate around. The result was his body slamming forward into flexion through release, leading to a pattern of nagging injuries and inconsistent performance

Our goal was simple: get him to the ground sooner, create a better base, and give him something to rotate around.

Throwing is never one-size-fits-all so we experimented until we found a group of drills that:

• Felt good for Thomas
• Targeted what we actually wanted to change
• Transferred into his delivery almost immediately

Better movement + Healthier positions = 5+ mph of velo gained.

Big year ahead for Thomas! 📈
