For the record, I could’ve waited 15 more years for you to finally do it but I’m glad you did it now

I love you so much and can’t wait to get buried together in the same hole one day ♥️♥️

🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️🧘‍♂️ Phil Phails @ Fitness… but Actually, Maybe Not?

For a while now, I’ve been wondering how to share more of my journey to optimal living—mind, body, and spirit—on Phil Phails.

How do I talk about the fitness part?
I’ve been cycling, running, swimming, lifting, doing yoga, bouldering, handstands, and attending classes of all kinds… but turning that into content has felt complicated. Do I livestream my rides? Hire someone to film me climbing? Overthink it into oblivion?

Nah.

In true Phil Phails fashion, I’m starting simple.
Start from where I am. Share what I’m doing, how it feels, and grow from there.

So here’s my weekend:

Saturday:
Up at 6am. On the saddle by 7am with the incredible folks at Bicycle House—a 34-mile group ride I’ve come to love, not just for the fitness but for the community. We rolled hard this time—I even won the short sprint segment for the first time. Post-ride coffee with the crew is always a highlight.
Shoutout to my bike fam. I’m so grateful for y’all. 🚴‍♂️☕❤️

Sunday:
6am wake-up call—this time from my daughter, Emerson, who wanted to run. We hit the Ann & Roy Butler Hike & Bike Trail by 7am. She ran 8 miles; I pushed for 10.
Then came yoga x2 at Studio Satya :
🧘 1:30pm – Slow Flow with Quentin Lucas
🧘‍♂️ 5pm – Yoga for Stress Management with Susan Somers-Willet
Mind. Body. Restored.

Monday (Today):
6am dip at Barton Springs. I swam a mile nonstop with my friends Thomas and Andrew. The water was cold, the sky was beautiful, and the day started right. 🏊‍♂️🌅

I’ll be sharing more of these updates going forward—sometimes with photos, sometimes with video, sometimes just with words.
Because Phil Phails isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence.

📸 Swipe for stats, maps, and moments.
