We invite everyone back this coming Saturday for an unexpected, additional screening with Mila Maia on the piano. Details coming tomorrow—stay tuned!

👹THIS SATURDAY @ SILENT CINEMA | Galway's Westend | 🎟 www.silentcinema.ie (link in bio)

✨️The 1911 silent film is Italy's inaugural full-length feature and one of the earliest films to be screened in its entirety in the United States.

🕯It is loosely based on Inferno, the first part of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. The film depicts Dante's journey through the Circles of Hell, with the poet Virgil as his guide.

🎭Filled with haunting visuals and the enchantment of silent cinema, it offers a captivating yet unsettling exploration of hell. Directed by Francesco Bertolini, Giuseppe de Liguoro, and Adolfo Padovan.

🎶Live piano accompaniment by Thomas Quill.
