What a blessing this film has been from the very beginning and it carried through the shoot. I’m unable to wrap up all of my thoughts in a cohesive way so I’ll just say it was a dream come true to shoot The Land of Dust in Durango with the cast and crew. I’m so furtunate to be able to create with this team and be a part of the overflowing of passion and talent that was put into this film. When I showed up to Durango a couple of days before we were set to bring filming, they were in the middle of the most rainfall they had recieved in 25 years and that meant we wouldn’t be able to get the horses or the trucks anywhere near our locations or safely run the horses. Somehow someway, the rain stopped and everything dried out and we were given 4 days of perfect sun. About 30 minutes after we wrapped, the rain moved back in and poured down for the next few days. Can’t say thank you enough to every single individual who put so much heart and soul into this film and everyone who has supported us along the way. So much more to share from this project coming soon! What an amazing weekend in Durango at the inaugural @sanjuansongwritersfestival! So many incredible songwriters and storytellers to list them all but big shout outs to @jesseoglemusic, @dannymyrick, @alexdunndeal, @maggie_huntermusic, and @thomchacon for curating a wonderful listening space. They turned downtown Durango into one massive listening room and the vibes were through the roof all weekend. Hope to do it all over again next year!

Still riding high from an incredible weekend of music in Durango! The inaugural San Juan Songwriters Festival brought together an amazing group of songwriter, filling the weekend with great songs, stories, laughs, and many moments we won’t soon forget. A HUGE thank you to @iammusicinstitute for helping to make this festival come to life, to every artist who shared their music with us, and to everyone who came out and helped make the first one so special. There were a lot of moments to look back at but here are a few from the weekend. 📷 @woods_photographyllc

Friday understood the assignment. Songs spilling out of venues all over downtown. Songwriters trading stories, packed rooms, familiar favorites and plenty of new ones to take home with you. And that was just Friday. We’re back at it Saturday. Music starts at 1 PM. #sanjuansongwritersfestival #musicfestival #songwriters #durangoco

Just wrapped a film we made here in Durango, a period 1916 western that promises to be a real winner. We did all the wardrobe design, even using authentic period pieces in many costumes. I built the cabin set and Mrs. OCV provided the set dressing - turned out great! I was also the set armorer and acted alongside @timvmurphy as bad men - loads of fun, but a whole lotta hard work! Special thanks to all the cast and crew! @thomchacon @janispvaldez @rfrazee @forneykb @hudsonbloom and all the rest! #makewesternsgreatagain #westernmovie #independentfilmmaking #durangocolorado #periodwardrobe
