⚽️⚽️⚽️ Full Time Result: ISF Ballyphehane Celtic 2 Obs FC 1 ⚽️⚽️⚽️

We are into the final!! We are going to St Colemans Park 🏆

We managed to book our place in the CBL Frank Linehan Cup Final through sheer grit and determination. With this being our 3rd game in 6 days we had to draw on every reserve to get past OBS, they deservedly took the lead after despatched a penalty. We had our own chances but couldnt put any away and we headed into the break 1 0 down.

We came out the 2nd half a rejuvanited side and were level within 2 minutes of the restart thanks to Jamie Thompson who pounced on a defensive mix up. We kept attacking the OBS rearguard to no avail until the latter stages when Stephen Ring, Ryan Towler and Stephen Folasade who all combined well with Ryan Constant on the end of the move making it 2-1 with us seeing out the result.

We will now await the winners of Heres Health/JayBazz in St Colemans Park on the 8th of November.

⚽️⚽️⚽️ Full Time Result: ISF Ballyphehane Celtic 8 Marlboro Trust 3 ⚽️⚽️⚽️

A harsh scoreline upon reflection of the game as Marlboro fought valiantly and on another day may have gotten more.

It was most certainly not our best outting and luckily went into the half only 1 1 thanks to a lob from Jamie Thompson. Ryan Constant got 2 in quick succession but Trust quickly fired back making it 3 2. Jamie Thompson sublime strike made it 4 2 but once again Trust fought hard and made it 4 3. Credit to the away side who got through alot of ground but luckily tired and we were able to bounced with Jamie Thompson ending up with 4 goals on the day, Ryan Constant with a hat trick and Stephen Folasade finishing it off.

We now take on OBS in the semi final.

🔥 UNBEATEN. LEAGUE CHAMPIONS. DOUBLE WINNERS.

What a season. 💙

Ballyphehane Celtic have made history, becoming just the 5th side in the 70-year history of the Cork Business League to complete an unbeaten league season.

18 played. 16 wins. 2 draws. 0 defeats. +65 goal difference.

Unfortunately, today’s opponents were unable to fulfil the fixture, meaning we finish the campaign unbeaten across the full league season.

And make no mistake, this has been a fully deserved league title. Some absolutely dominant performances throughout the campaign, backed up by consistency, character and a relentless desire to keep pushing.

A massive thank you to every player, manager, coach, committee member, sponsor and supporter who has played their part.

But we’re not finished yet...

ONE MORE TROPHY TO GO.

⚽⚽⚽ Full Time Result: ISF Ballyphehane Celtic 3 Abbey Business 2 ⚽⚽⚽

Built as a 6 pointer as the top of the table, it was ISF Ballyphehane Celtic who came away with the win where they showed a never say die attitude until the end of the 90 minutes.

Abbey we're completely on top for the first 30 minutes and rightfully went 1 up through some good work. This brought us to life in the last 15 and we then started dictating the play and had A good few chances but we were denied by the heroics of the Abbey GK, half time whistle coming at the right time for the opposition.

We came out the 2nd half in search of the equalizer and in the 60th minute Ryan Constant dispatched a penalty making it 1-1. Credit to Abbey they showed great character and went ahead with about 20 minutes to go. With the potential of the lead being cut to 6 points, somehow the lads dragged a result out of nowhere with 5 minutes to go, this comeback began when Robert Tier launched a throw into the box which was flicked out by Ryan Constant and leaping like a salmon was Jamie Thompson making it 2-2. A draw seemingly suiting us, we didn't rest on our laurels and went for the juggler in the 90th minute when Thompson slid in Constant who rolled his defender, chasing down on goal and guiding it into the bottom corner with celebrations ensuing afterwards. That puts at 12 points clear with 6 games to go, 6 points are required to win the league

Another clinical performance saw us run out comfortable winners against JayBazz. Two Games 18 goals which is phoenomenal feat.

We started off quick again when Amir Kourchani got on the end of a ball from Matias Rodriguez. We doubled our lead when Ryan Constant got on another through ball from Rodriguez. We made it 3 before half time when Ryan Towler plucked the ball from the sky and slotted it into the net.

We came out the 2nd half even quicker as we scored 4 goals inside 10 minutes through Towler, Alan Murphy and a hat trick for Ryan Constant making it 7 0. Jay Bazz to there credit had there spell of their own and got 3 goals back in quick succession. Goal of the game had to go to Jamie Thompson whos sublime free curled in top bins. Thompson finished the scoring when he got on the end of a great ball from Towler.

As we head into the second half of the season, we take a look at the league table.

We currently sit top of the table with games in hand but it most certainly is all to play for with the chasing pack hot on our heels.

If the @corkbusinesslge has thought us anything that anything can happen so we have a gripping 2nd half of the season to look forward too.
