POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
✨It’s been a couple of weeks since we wrapped up the 2026 Battle Season at the Corner Hotel, and we’ve finally had a little time to take in the year that was. More than anything, Anna and I feel incredibly proud. 😊 Every year, these parent bands somehow find another gear. The musicianship gets stronger, the performances get bigger and the bar just keeps being raised. Watching parents step onto these stages, often well outside their comfort zones, and absolutely bring it, never gets old. But as proud as we are of what happens on stage, it’s everything that happens around it that continues to blow us away. The friendships. The connections. The community support. And all the little stories we hear afterwards about music finding its way back into people’s lives and the impact that has on their families, their children and their communities. That’s the bit that stays with us. PBOB has always been about so much more than the Battles…it’s about what happens when people come together around music and the flow-on benefits it creates. So to every muso, band rep, school, partner, judge, volunteer, crew member, supporter and person who walked through the doors of a Battle this year: thank you. 🥰 Thank you for bringing your energy, generosity and glorious enthusiasm to this slightly mad and wonderfully fun thing we started. You keep reminding us why we believe so deeply that music really matters.🤘🏼 And what a season it was.✨ 📸 @becwaltonphotography

THREE DAYS TO GO… and this leaderboard is getting rather cosy. There’s not a lot of daylight between some of these school communities now. But enough about percentages. Have you actually clocked this line-up?! Six incredible parent bands. One Corner Hotel stage. A room full of people wildly invested in the outcome… and absolutely no sensible reason to stay home on a Thursday night. 🤘🏼 These parents have put in the hours. Rehearsals, late nights, set lists, group chats, outfit debates… and trust us, they’re ready to bring it!🤘🏼 If you’ve never been to a PBOB Final, this is the year. And with 72 hours still to go… there’s plenty of time to reshuffle that leaderboard. Thursday. The Corner. See you down the front. 🔥 🎟️ Tickets via link in bio.

Northside 2 Battle at Croxton Bandroom was not your average Thursday night… it was a full-blown, glitter-encrusted, confetti-fuelled, boot-scootin’ explosion of live music synthesis 🎸✨🔥 7 bands. 60 parent musos. Countless sequins. At least two doof-doof poles. And somehow… a pair of jumper leads also made an appearance 😵‍💫 From massive singalongs to dancefloor mayhem, the Croc was absolutely ROCKIN’ on a school night like it was the final set at a music festival 🤘💥 Honestly, there may never be another fusion Thursday quite like it! Thanks for bringing the LOT : Fairfield PS, Merri Creek PS, Thornbury PS, Preston South & Preston West PS, Brunswick South and St Joseph’s PS 🤘🏼 Huge thanks also to Steve, Hannah, Skye and all the awesome crew at the Croxton for hosting us the last two weeks - such an excellent venue to work with. 🙏🏻✨ 📸 @becwaltonphotographer
