A staff favorite with a special purpose!

Continuing our video series Join Cross Gate Gallery’s Jackie LeMastus as she shares one of her favorite pieces in this year’s Sporting Art Auction — LOT 82 | Nic Fiddian-Green’s Trojan Fragment II.

A longtime admirer of Fiddian-Green’s work, Jackie first discovered his monumental 35-foot sculpture, Still Water, in London. Having made a point to visit the iconic sculpture on her trips to London, this opportunity to feature one of his works in the Sporting Art Auction is particularly special!

Even more meaningful, 100% of the hammer price from this lot will benefit the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, supporting the care and retirement of Thoroughbreds beyond their racing careers.

LOT 82 | Nic Fiddian-Green
Trojan Fragment II
Bronze on wood base | Edition of 12
24.5 × 13 × 10 in.
Estimate: $9,000–$12,000

The 14th Annual Sporting Art Auction
Friday, November 13 | 4 PM
Keeneland Sales Pavilion

We're proud to work with six nonprofits dedicated to providing equines with a second chance 🐴

From draft horses to retired racehorses and a variety of other breeds, these sanctuary and adoption facilities are great for those interested in meeting horses and learning more about equine training and care. Our sanctuary and adoption partners are BraveHearts Equine Center, Kentucky Equine Adoption Center, New Vocations, Second Stride, Secretariat Center and the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation at Chestnut Hall.

Cajun Cruiser proved to be a real pro at the retired racehorse project. He has taken his new job just a seriously as when he raced. Margaret did an amazing job rehabbing him and helping him feel healthy and happy. He traveled great and was a perfect gentleman at the big Kentucky Horse Park venue. We couldn’t be more happy with how he went around in dressage and at Liberty in the free style. Hats off to Margaret for your hard work preparing him and thank you to her groom @janae_arena18 and her barn family @eventer2010 and @audrey.nichole03 . You all were amazing !! #naturalhorsemanship #horsetraining #ottb #retiredracehorseproject #tbmakeover
