Each year, I don my writer’s cap and dabble with some painting for Bahrain Writer’s Circle’s mega exhibition called The Confluence.
Participating in this artistic endeavour gives me the much needed succour from the trials and tribulations of running my businesses.

This year it was my honour and privilege to paint for Raji Unnikrishnan poem ( Eclipse) that embodies the beautiful transformation that every woman goes through in life to come out strong, resilient and changed on the other side. I did my best to capture the essence of her poem in my artwork.

And I also have my poem “Shades of Green” displayed at the exhibition that talks about jealousy in a way that might feel very relatable. Giving my poem her artistic vision is Sowndarya

While painting and writing are very personal joys, what gives me greater joy is being a part of a community that is inspiring, encouraging and supportive. At helm of it all are Saira Ranj & Melissa Nazareth who work relentlessly to make this event an incredible success.

Thank you BWC ( Bahrain writer’s circle ) for doing this year after year and giving artists & writers this fabulous platform.

Simple. Magical. Expansive.

There is something beautiful and necessary about stepping away from the noise of everyday life to remember ourselves and reveal what lies within.

For 2 days, friends gathered with one intention:
returning within and witnessing what was true for each of us.
