Lets welcome our next set of #12x12ArtFundraiser artists! Say hi to Katie Graham (@Threaded.fables) and Jolie Hossack (@_j_o_l_i_e_)!

✨ Katie is a self-taught fiber artist, author, and illustrator based in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She creates large-scale embroidered appliqués and fiber soft sculptures that explore symbolic narratives rooted in personal healing, folklore, and archetypal imagery. Graham has exhibited her work across central Oklahoma, with features at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame (@oklahomahof), Mainsite Gallery (@normanarts), Goldfang Gallery (@goldfanggallery), DNA Gallery (@dnagalleries), and Mycelium Gallery (@myceliumgallery). Her work has been reviewed in the Oklahoma Gazette (@okgazette), Art Focus, Oklahoma Women’s Journal (@oklahomawomensjournal), Free Press OKC (@freepressokc), and OU Daily (@theoudaily). In 2025, Graham was recognized as the OKC Festival of the Arts Emerging Artist (@artscouncilokc) for the original fiber art collection featured in her debut picture book, The Story of Night & Day. Expanding on this narrative, she is currently adapting the book's story and creating new artwork for a traveling puppet theater production.

✨ With backgrounds in dance, design, and various forms of crafting, Hossack creates using a diverse range of media and techniques. Drawn to discarded materials, a good portion of Hossack’s work involves found or recycled materials to extend their useful life and prevent them from becoming trash. Taking inspiration from nature while appreciating the human-made, she is interested in the back-and-forth relationship between our natural and built environments. Through color, line, and form, Hossack creates work that reflects on the construction that goes into our everyday lives as well as the ephemeral quality of us and everything around us.

🎨 The 12x12 Art Fundraiser raises vital funds for all of OVAC's programs and services, ensuring Oklahoma is a place where visual artists can thrive and make a positive impact in their communities.

Our second episode of "I Can Make That" is up on YouTube now!

Join us as I sit down with Oklahoma artist, Barclay Howarth (@clay_bar) for an in depth look into her watercolor practice.

Each episode I mentor with a local Oklahoma artist for the day, then I stop by The Artist Closet to gather my supplies and try to create something inspired by what I've learned. The goal? To prove that while anyone can make art, no two artists will create something quite the same.

Subscribe to meet incredible creatives, get inspired to build your own artistic practice, and make a few new friends along the way.

Let us know what you think of this month's episode over on YouTube! 📽️🎨✨ (YT linked in bio)
