Did you know every day hundreds of foster children in the UK are given bin bags to move their belongings when they move home? @madlugofficial are on a mission to change that, gifting a piece of luggage to a looked after child every time they sell a back pack. So far they have given over 130 000 bags to UK foster children.

Students at our creative group created their own digitally embroidery badge, with the brief of making a badge for a child moving into a new; home, school, club, pet and they were all@so creative with their ideas and development.

Designs ranged from ketchup sauce on hot dogs to autism awareness messages. As part of this project our students interviewed Dave Linton and they adored him!

Last chance to book onto the Jack Tar bag making workshop @derbymuseums. Such a great bag and the workshop involves lots of fun bag making skills such as inserting hardware, managing outerwear fabrics and working with leather. ✂️

Made the #marieshirt and I am here for the cuff drama it provides ✨

Made with GOTS mini gingham, giant pearl buttons. I started making the #marieshirtdress in size 14 with shortened sleeve length but it was too billowy for me so I turned it into a top with a high low hem (which you can’t see here) next time I’ll reduce shoulder and sleeve length and be nice to try with a stiffer fabric. ✂️
