If you are not a woman over 40, should you come see Broadminded? YES! Because our shows ROCK! 🎸 Just ask Detroit circus sensation Brandin Alexander @guapoh13 — who saw our producer @karirevolva perform in Madison, Wisconsin last year and was convinced to grab a ticket to see our entire spring show lineup of women over 40.

Brandin is 33 years old and an internationally celebrated performance artist himself, and — well, you can listen to him talk about his reaction to our advanced queens 🔥 (Spoiler alert: He is now an official fan of Team Broadminded!)

Our Oct. 30 Halloween show at @threecatsrestaurant in Clawson, MI is right around the corner. Did you get your tickets yet to the most inspiring night of the season? 🎟️ Ticket link in bio @broadmindedshow or visit ThreeCatsCafe.com/events

In the spirit of Prince, we are revising the title of our Halloween show! The artist formerly knows as (“insert a Golden Girls Halloween pun”) will now simply be known as Broadminded Women Over 40 Revue’s Halloween Variety Show. Why? Because a fab drag queen from NYC reached out to say they own the trademark to that Golden Girls Halloween pun.

No matter! We love the drag queens of the world and don’t want to step on our sister’s rhinestoned platform heels. And under ANY title, women over 40 will rock. So did you get your tix yet for the spookiest, sparkliest, most inspiring Halloween show of the season?

@fluffiheather

Lauren Crane is rocking stages — and the world — at the fabulous age of 69. Grab a ticket to our Oct. 30 Halloween show at @threecatsrestaurant in Clawson, MI (wear your most outrageous costume if you like), and come fall under her storytelling spell.

Lauren delivers often preposterous, sporadically serious, ever curious entertainment through songs that can be described as saucy, sexy, sardonic or any number of alliterative adjectives that one with too much time on her/his/they hands could care to string together.

Society says women are invisible past a certain age. To that, our coven of queens says, “See you on stage!” Ticket link in bio at @broadmindedshow or visit, ThreeCatsCafe.com/Events

You will not BELIEVE the Halloween magic in store for us from @lusheslamoan — who has been called Detroit’s “hardest working showgirl.”

A true Motown OG, Lushes started her performance career as a cast member for local sketch comedy show, Switch Play TV. She incorporates her improv knowledge and background as a comedian into her stage persona, making her not only graceful but quick on her toes.

Also a fine artist who designs her own costumes, she really went over the top with the act she is bringing to our Halloween show at Three Cats on Friday, Oct. 30. Did you get your reservations yet for THE party of the season, with a delicious dinner and a post-show crowd costume contest?

Detroit, did you get your tickets yet to see Ebony Rich — @godswife1222 — and some of the hottest women-over-40 variety acts on Friday, Oct. 30 at @threecatsrestaurant in Clawson? Ebony is a legendary skater, DJ, instructor, and organizer, deeply rooted in Detroit’s vibrant skating culture.

We are thrilled to welcome this superstar to our @broadmindedshow Halloween weekend lineup! Showtime is 7:30, and you can join us for dinner beforehand (dinner reservations begin at 6). The night wraps with a crowd costume contests, so costumes are encouraged if YOU want to get in on the fun! Ticket link in bio @broadmindedshow or visit ThreeCatsCafe.com/events

Leon & Lulu is one of my favorite places to stop in for a little retail therapy, so I was delighted to collaborate with them on a comedy night at their sister restaurants – Three Cats Cafe in Clawson.

I had a chance to film a quick, fun interview with Mary Liz – the impresario of the iconic adventure in shopping destination as well as the restaurant/event space under the Clawson marquee next door. We talk about the unusual and unique items in the store, pets, comedy, Theatre Bizarre, plus the upcoming Comedy Night.

Listen in. Giggle a time or two. And join us this Wednesday, September 16th for Comedy Night at Three Cats. Featuring a handful of my favorite funny people: @billyreno_ @el_widdle @darrickervinii @robyngilleran and me, @charliecurve

Tickets are available on the ThreeCatsCafe.com website. Come early for dinner. And if you haven't been to Leon & Lulu in Clawson yet, you're missing out.

Comedy Night is coming to Three Cats Restaurant in Clawson Wednesday, September 16!

Set inside the historic Clawson Theater in Downtown Clawson, Three Cats is part restaurant, part artful oddity, and part “I did not know dinner could come with this much personality.” It is the kind of room that makes live comedy feel right at home: imaginative food, excellent drinks, vintage touches, and just enough delightful weirdness to keep things interesting.

The evening features five hilarious comics:
- Billy Reno @billyreno_
- Ella Horwedel @el_widdle
- Darrick Ervin II @darrickervinii
- Robyn Gilleran @robyngilleran
- Charlie Wollborg @charliecurve

Come early and make a night of it with dinner and a cocktail before the show. There is nothing better than laughing with friends new and old, especially in a room with this much personality.

Wednesday, September 16
Showtime: 7:30 PM
Tickets: $20 available at threecatscafe.com
