The numbers have been crunched, and we’re excited to announce that through this year’s ‘Do More Than Drink’ campaign, a grand total of $18,004 was raised for Scarf programs! 🧡🙏🏾🥹

This will allow us to create 546 hours of paid work experience for Scarf trainees in 2027. HUGE.

The majority of the funds come from our 30 wonderful campaign venue partners, who fundraised for Scarf throughout September, with additional clams coming from raffle ticket sales, online donations and cocktail calendar pre-orders 📆

We’re so grateful for this huge support, which will allow us to create so many wonderful opportunities next year.

We celebrated the end of the campaign recently at a casual event @stompinggroundcollingwood. We called it “Scarf’s Shout”, but really it should have been called “Stomping Ground’s Shout”, because the @stompinggroundbeer legends (long-term Scarf Partners) put on the drinks and the food and helped bring great vibes 👏🏽🍻🍕

We were thrilled that some of our campaign partners (@paradisealleycollingwood and @thelincolncarlton ) could join the party, as well as heaps of Scarf graduates and a few mentors too. Legends, all of them.

101 WAYS TO VERMOUTH: OTWAY HIGHBALL

Rob Libecans @pullingcorks from @caretakers.cottage and @threehorsesbar whipped us up this refreshing number using our @braerestaurant colab radicchio amaro. If you weren’t lucky enough to snag a bottle it would definitely work subbing in our red vermouth too.

50ml Brae farm radicchio amaro
20ml Cold filter coffee
100ml Fevertree light tonic

Build in glass on ice, top with tonic.

Rob Libecans, Matt Stirling and Ryan Noreiks will go down in Melbourne cocktail history, and they would have even if they'd never opened @threehorsesbar, the winner of this year's Bar of the Year award.⁠

@Caretakers.cottage, the trio's other venue (and the winner of the same accolade in 2022), already had them on the global map for its historic location, music-geek sound system and incomparable freezer martinis. ⁠

Three Horses, which sits just stumbling distance from Caretaker's, had to be different enough to warrant expansion while maintaining all of the excellence that we've come to expect from this crew. We've gotta say: they hit it out of the park. ⁠
