‧𓍢ִ໋☕ ׂ 𓈒 ⋆ ۪

mission to save money on vacation successfully failed. have acquired five books and two vinyls (though three books are pre loved). and this super cute tote bag from @soundsdelft which is my new favorite bag to look cool with x

i got alone with you in the ether and my mechanical romance because at this point i will read anything that @olivieblake writes. then i found a gorgeous antique copy in german of the glass blowers by daphne du maurier, and because i've kind of been wanting to get more into classics i bought the secret garden and anna karenina (also because classics are always cheap lol).

go support indie record stores! (i got boy by luke (the blue version!) and the rest by boygenius, and i even saved money compared to online prices xx)

love you so much,

the alchemist review 🌞

my ratings : 3.75/5

i don't think it's a valid review since i read this like.. 2 months ago.. but i still promised a review so here it is! 😭

a little summary, basically this book talks about a young, shepherd boy, named Santiago. and we kinda follow him throughout his journey to find a treasure he has a recurring dream about. we see how he dealt with obstacles, how he's able to overcome it, as well as what life lessons he learns throughout the journey. that's basically it.

this was definitely a lovely book, while it's less than 200 pages, it took me such a long time to finish reading it (i blamed school) and i think it mainly because it was dragging so much. it felt repetitive, and while the writing style is beautiful, i also think that it misses the plot sometimes.

the book was kinda predictable, you could see where it's headed from the start, and i didn't really connect with the characters.

but it still a great book, nonetheless. it's definitely an easy read, there are a lot of amazing quotes in it. so i do think you should read it once in your lifetime.

qotd : have you read this? what do u think of it?

long overdue thuringia dump 𓍢ִ໋☕️✧˚ ༘ ⋆

had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful place twice in july, and i have been bewitched (body and soul). thuringia, or more specifically, erfurt and weimar, are so incredibly beautiful cities. and the little villages scattered throughout the mountains, with their unique half-timbered houses, so charming. i would move there if i could, i swear.

of course i've paid a visit to approximately every bookshop in my vicinity, bought a few books... and just had a great time in general.

i've also visited the duchess anna amalia library, but it's so breathtaking there'll be another post about it xx
