Last night’s March of Dimes Signature Chefs Gala at the ʻAlohilani Resort was such a fun evening, featuring Ten Feet as the music headliner! I’m always so proud of my longtime childhood classmate and friend from Kalihi, Drez 🤙 @sicdrezyfuzzball Drez and I go all the way back to the 7th grade at King David Kalākaua Intermediate School, and later we graduated together from Farrington High School. Fun fact: he was our Senior Prom King! And our connections run even deeper — Ten Feet’s lead singer Josiah Kekoa is also a proud Farrington graduate, his brother Joey was a classmate of Drez and me, and their mom, Jojo, worked in campus security at Farrington while we attended school there. So when I say we go way back, we really go way back! There’s so much history between all of us, stretching back to our teenage years and those unforgettable Kalihi days. It makes me especially proud to see what Drez and Josiah have accomplished as original members of Ten Feet @tenfeetmusic. Drez, as a co-founder, singer, songwriter and guitarist, you and the band have created an incredible musical legacy and become such an iconic part of Hawaiʻi’s music scene. Biggest congratulations to Drez, Josiah and the entire Ten Feet band on an incredible 33 YEARS!! More than three decades of music, friendship, memories and songs that have become part of the soundtrack of Hawaiʻi. What an amazing milestone! And the celebration continues! Join Ten Feet for their 33rd Anniversary & Album Release Celebration on October 10, 2026, featuring an incredible lineup of Hawaiʻi entertainers including Three Plus, B.E.T., Ho‘onua, Shar Carillo, Peni Dean & many more! Tickets are still available, so come out and celebrate 33 years of Ten Feet! Drez and Josiah, I’m so proud of everything you’ve accomplished, and even more grateful that after all these years, we continue to share such a close friendship and so much history together. Here’s to 33 years of Ten Feet and many more years of music, friendship and memories ahead! 🙏 #TenFeet #TenFeetMusic #Kalihi #GoGovs #FarringtonHighSchool

Still jamming songs that I learned growing up. We had the SOULFREE cd and I would always jam those songs when we would “cut grass”… not clean yard hahaha Can’t forget about the 3 Plus classic “Island Woman” this picking was taught to me by my childhood friend Keoki like when I was in elementary haha 🥴😅 We still jamming em!!! Not just music you can listen to, but music you can feel that takes you back to simpler times. #islandreggaemusic #kanikapila #godisgood #allthetime #ukulele
