🗿——THE SENTINEL——🗿

The stone remembers when the world was different.

Once, great cities sprawled across these valleys, their spires catching the morning light like scattered diamonds. The Sentinel stood then as it stands now like a threshold between the mortal realm and something beyond, something the ancients understood but never dared name. Children would place wildflowers at its base, and scholars would trace the symbols carved into its surface, symbols that seemed to shift when observed too closely.

That was before the Great Quieting.

No cataclysm marked the end as there was no fire, no flood, no war. The cities simply... faded. People began to forget why they had built so high, why they had reached so far. One by one, they returned to simpler places, simpler lives, until only the stone remained to mark what had been.

Seasons turned like pages in a book no longer read. Snow fell and melted, grass grew and died, and still the Sentinel waited. A lone evergreen took root nearby, perhaps from a seed carried by wind, perhaps from something deeper. It grew tall beside the ancient marker, the only witness to the stone’s eternal vigil.

Sometimes, travelers pass through the valley. They feel the weight of the Sentinel’s presence, the way it seems to watch without eyes, to listen without ears. They sense, without understanding, that they stand at the edge of something vast, a threshold between what was and what is, between memory and forgetting.

The stone offers no answers, only questions: What did we lose when we stopped looking up? What remains when all our monuments crumble? And in the growing dusk, as mist rises from the valley floor, another question whispers through the grass:

What are we becoming?

The Sentinel knows. It has always known. But some truths can only be discovered by those brave enough to cross the threshold themselves, to stand in the space between worlds and remember what they came here to forget.

In the distance, mountains rise like sleeping giants. The evergreen sways in the evening breeze. And the stone with the mind of patient, eternal, watchful…continues its silent witness to the endless dance of memory and time.

💨 Weathering With You x ‘Her’ 🥀

☁️

A fun edit I put together in my free time to practice my editing skills.

I’ve been really into this song by @itsjvke ft. @annikawells lately, and I’ve been obsessed with this anime since grade 9, probably because the characters were around the same age as me back then. 🥸

From the first listen, it already felt like they belonged together. 💙🧡

💫 CELESTIAL POOL | Head in the Clouds ☁️

“In psychology and literature, the phrase ‘head in the clouds’ often describes a state of daydreaming or detachment from reality, in which a mind adrift in imagination rather than grounded in the physical world. Yet, from an artistic perspective, this state isn’t mere escapism; it’s a return to freedom, where thought and emotion can float without boundaries.”

- Sometimes, I just want to be like this… freely drifting and flowing through an imaginary sky pool, far away from the city noise and the weight of the world.
(Only if doing such can cover the bills lol)

Another work inspired by the song ‘Head in the Clouds’ - Hayd.

🖼️ Stay tuned for the final piece @threetartz ^3^

Three Primary Colors - 三原色 | The Story Begins with the White Sunrise (COLOR SKETCH)

“In digital imaging, red, green, and blue are the fundamental channels of light and independent signals that, when combined, illuminate every color we see on a screen.
Each hue exists because of balance, coexistence, and connection.

In the same way, friendships mirror this system: distinct souls blending their differences to create something brighter.
Alone, each color shines; together, they form a world.”

Another work inspired by the song “Sangenshoku” - YOASOBI.
I’ve been deeply attached to the meaning of its lyrics by replaying it ever since the first listen and decided to create this illustration after letting it sink in.

🖼️ Stay tuned for the final piece @threetartz ^3^

GUNJOU - 群青 | The Color of Youth (COLOR SKETCH)

“According to color psychology, blue encompasses a wide range of meanings often tied to the sky and sea, such as calmness, trust, stability, and wisdom.

Yet perhaps its most profound symbolism lies in introspection, emotional depth, and a quiet sense of longing.
These states closely connected to the transitional nature of youth.
It embodies both serenity and melancholy, mirroring the duality of growing up: the calm of self-discovery and the uncertainty of becoming, alongside the fresh and thriving enthusiasm that defines youth itself.”

💙
This piece is inspired by the song Gunjou by YOASOBI and the anime Blue Period.
I was also deeply moved by the song Same Blue from Ao no Hako as its concept of youth resonates so much that I decided to use it as the background song for this piece, and save Gunjou for the final work.

🖼️ Stay tuned for the final work at @threetartz ^3^

🐶 PUPPY | The Sanity of The Mother 👩🏻‍🦳 (COLOR SKETCH)

🧸
“Stuck in my own paradox, I wanna set myself free.
Maybe I should chase and find before they’ll try to stop it,
It won’t be long before I’ll become a puppet…”
📸
The spiral knows what you’re looking for: the hurt you can’t let go, the past that won’t release you.
Grief doesn’t ask to be stared at. It demands it.
And you oblige, every time…
🌀

- Jeez I love that devastating kneeling pose so bad, first time I’ve ever felt I could draw something this expressive :0 -
